Surely it depends how you take the day? Calling in sick wouldnt be right, but taking a day's leave because you feel miserable seems ok to me. Your holiday is yours to do what you like with, I should of thought.

My day has been good so far. Heard from my cousin and uncle in Iraq today, so that was a bonus.

I think the vast majority of lay-people who pronounce on the situation in Iraq haven't got a clue what they are talking about, they just like jumping on bandwagons. I think the only way a smoking ban is going to be useful is if it covers all public spaces, inside and out. I also think smokers smell and look dirty. I think Lauras diary is fiction (although I think Laura is wonderful). As a parent, I would never have left my child in the circumstances that the McCanns left theirs, it was simply wrong. Sugar is a far more harmful factor in the modern diet than saturated fat. Dogs are stupid useless creatures and keeping them is pointless.

He mabe a very pleasant person, but equally he may not - as with any celebrity we only get to see what they choose to show at any given time. For all his charm on a chat show, I remember his laughing and p*ss taking outside court all those times he was celebrating "getting away with it" yet again, laughing and directing insults at the people who were really just trying to help him help himself. Not so charming. And on a purely personal note, I can't bear the way he looks, unwashed, dirty, he looks as though he smells. How Kate Moss - or even someone decent - could kiss that mouth I have no idea.
