Is The End Of Oh! Nigh?

I reckon Oh! should take a graceful step down. I also reckon it won't be the last we hear from it.

Remember when Moyles dumped CPC??? He brought that back and we're lovin' it.

'mezzin!

Yeah well same thing happened with Flirt Divert. If Scott's still on in two years time we may see it return.

Scott Mentioned Today That Oh! Could Be On The Way Out.

What Do You Think?

Well it was all about Chappers and Beccy really. It certainly does not work without Beccy but when you get a good listener it's top. I liked Jamelia (did I mention that before). However I know how to save OWO...make it Beccy v's Lloyd. You know it makes sense.

XX Love ya all XX

PS I want to listen / see you You Tube Mxes / Video lists...who said horse and flogging?

PPS On the OWO point none of us would have had the pleasure of getting to know Donna if it was not for OWO...have I just contributed to it's demise?

8)

How long has it been going for in total? Didn't Moyles start it? Probably is time to move on, can't think of any other features that have lasted this long on radio one.

Moyles started Oh!? Wow there musta been a longer period than I thought where I didn't listen...

I've found myself getting bored during "Oh!" myself too... the contestants are on for way too many days in a row and it's not the same without Beccy and Chappers sparring with one another. A lot of the scenarios have been played out way too much too.

Anybody else feel like it might be the last legs for CPC as well? They spend more time talking to the players (who often both stay on for weeks now) and less time actually playing the game. Even the Roy Walker chats (my favorite bits) are getting short and dull now.

It's almost like somebody at Radio 1's saying "no those games are too camp, they need to go" and they're being given a slow and painful death.

I'll just have a look... 07770 774 914 - I once gave it to someone I didn't wish to work for!!

:hahaha: - this must be the other one!! I've got it stored under "viv phone"

the one prob with the FD was what if the person you gave it to tried the number 'as it's simpler than telling you mine', while you were there with them? Did anyone using it ever actually have that problem? :P (totally NOT speaking from experience here... OK maybe a little bit, but that guy was just NOT taking no for an answer...)

    • I guess we'll have to wait and see when the new schedule kicks in, although I could see Scott staying where he is.  Assuming that's the case and there are no other moves, there would be several available studios for Matt & Mollie - 82C or 82E of the 'old' studios, and 82M or 82N of the new ones.
    • The BBC commissioning brief mentions it is a 'mid morning show' for Radio 1 Dance https://www.bbc.co.uk/commissioning/radio/documents/comm_brief_r1_dance_morning_show.pdf
    • Nothing to apologise about, I was just intrigued on how DS and UM react
    • I would be pretty confident that if they keep avoiding using James Cusack on that slot over the next few weeks, then it will probably be him that gets the show permanently!
    • That’s two names who probably won’t be doing that slot permanently then.
    • Moyles spent most of the 52hr sgow calling him that lol
    • I stand guilty as charged as the DS poster.... It was I Okay, so yes Connor has good energy and does the show well, I take it back, however, my last experience of him he spent every other link saying "It's Connor Coates in for the ledge that is Charlie Hedges" and then he started saying "Clem Douglas" - again after critisising that I see she is styled as that sometimes The point I was trying to make was, yes we know it's Charlies show, we know she is a ledge, and we know she is not here today, no need to keep reminding us Regards R1 dance, I suspect Arielle is pointed at the drivetime slot to go against Mistajam unless we know it is breakfast that will be live ? Apologies to Connor and anyone offended by my comments, was just going on my past experience of Mr Coates, who seems to be a very competnt presenter
    • I know we have discussed this before, but can someone shed some light hoping @Lily Georgia can help Since the Wogan House closure, and 1-330 from Manchester, studio 82A (Mills) has been used by Scott's R2 show, in fact i note that him and Grandad Nelson are from there now days The question I have is with 1-330 coming from London again soon, who is getting a new studio? will Scott move to one of the newer ones down the corridor or will he remain in 82A and M&M get a new studio They cannot use 82D as that is used for drive, and currenlty 82A is in use by Scott from 2-4pm In the old days it used to be 82A for Greg, Scott, Annie and 82D Adele, RMC, Drive, Jack I note that Jack is in a brand new studio so maybe M&M will come from that one as well, maybe the same one as Vine uses?
    • Maia Beth is doing Friday Early Breakfast on 7th & 14th June.
    • Joel Mitchell is in for Nat on Sunday 9th June.
    • Ore Olukoga is on 13.00-16.00 on Friday 31st May and Friday 7th June.  Nikita Kanda is doing Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd June.
    • Very pleased for producer Amy - it's no coincidence many of the best shows in recent years have had her working on them. You can tell her & Helena are a great production duo and that the whole Matt & Mollie team are a really close-knit unit in general. Some lovely speeches by both Matt & Mollie too to end the show on Sunday.
    • Echo what most have said here. Connor has great energy which is important for that sort of slot and the shame for him is that the dance line-up is so strong that there's no obvious 'in' for him to get a regular slot -Danny, Sarah, Pete Tong, Arielle, Charlie Hedges, Jerry and Charlie Tee are all great in their slots. A live show on Radio 1 Dance really feels the obvious way to get a proper foot in the door at Radio 1. Although to be fair to the DS critic I think it was just the one poster and can very much hear Connor in my head saying 'in for the legend that is Charlie Hedges'.
    • James Cusack is in for Jack on Friday 14th June, doing the chart while Jack is at Download.
