Yesterday was the first time I heard Matt Edmondson for any significant length of time and my god is he terrible. He has no wit whatsoever, no personality, no broadcasting talent and a total inability to think on his feet.

The bit where he hooked up a caller with Roy from Scouting For Girls made me cringe. I seriously cannot see this guy being on R1 this time next year. If he is the R1 execs may as well hold their hands up and give up.

I agree and hope you're right. He's not bad on the webshow he does, or with Fearne but on his own, he's really bad, makes Cotton look like a radio genius.

Matt Edmondson is god. (Not the flying spaghetti monster; sorry Pastafarians.)

He is amazing, funny, intelligent, good looking, has a nice voice, rather cool hair and other stuff...

He is brilliant on PocketTV (despite what Ines will tell you).

His features on his show are great and I love them.

I hope he gets a better place on radio 1 and hope he stays there for a long long time.

I'd be interested to hear what you define as broadcasting talent. For me Matt is a natural presenter, who is naturally funny and witty with a very qunique personality. I think he has a unique style on Radio 1 and is a refreshing change to most R1 DJ's. I think he's doing really well and has proved to be a good signing by R1.

Don't you read your own website? There has been a fair bit of support for him on here in the past.

I find him to be very quick, witty and amusing. I'd agree with previous comment that he does perhaps need a little more experience; for example, his interaction with callers can be a tad stilted, but I'm sure this can be overcome.
