Hearing Dev on the radio makes me want to puke. Great news that Sara is in for Chris, but why move Greg? Leave him where he is and get someone to fill in for Mills. I know R1 want to expose the presenters to different listeners, but it doesn't justify changing four shows just because two DJ's are off. Leave Dev to the graveyard slot where nobody listens, or anybody who does listen is too shattered to give a damn, and let literally anyone else on the R1 DJ rosta cover for Mills. Edith, Jo, Huw, Vernon, Reggie.... Anyone!!

I have just listened to the interview and it was superb! I had concerns whether Michael Caine would "get" the whole thing, but he did, and I thought it made for a funny and entertaining interview.

Great performance musically on the show today, but what an arsehole the bloke who was doing the interviews was. It was as if he had the intention of going on air saying "I am tired, I cant be arsed and I will sound as miserable as sin". I would have told the miserable bastard to either cheer up and drop the moody rock star 'I don't do mornings' act, or sod off.

Sara was brilliant today. Loved every minute of the show. Replace Fearne with Sara ASAP.

Absoloutely. It says everything about an individuals rationale that he will stop criticising Person A, if others stop criticising person B. That is a level of thinking straight from the playground. I think Sara Cox will be superb tomorrow. Her natural wit and personality will overcome any difficulties Vernon (who I also like) faced these past couple of days. I am really looking forward to the show and I hope it will be a showcase for her and that she gets a permanent weekday gig on Radio 1.

Sara is funny, quick witted, tells a good story and has a personality. That do ya?

I was very tempted to reply with something rude and abusive, but I decided against it as that would, of course, be wrong :*. Instead I will just say that I totally disagree with you. Sara Cox is second only to Moyles on R1 in my opinion. The past three weeks have been superb with Sara in the 10-1 slot. She is brilliant. Regarding Matt Edmondson, I have to admit that I have changed my mind about him. I even started a thread on here a while back saying I thought he was terrible, but after listening to him a few times he is actually pretty good. I would get rid of Edith ASAP and replace her with Matt. And give Sara the 10-1 weekday slot.

Totally agree. Very enjoyable interview, cracking pop song and a brilliant video. Anyone who hasnt seen it should definitely check it out.

Robbie is only doing this with Gary and Take That now that his career is on the wane. He wouldnt go near them when he was at his peak. I wam still interested to hear this though!

Well, she is correct. The Saturdays are copying Girls Aloud, and they are doing a decent job of it as well. There is a market for disposable pop and The Saturdays are filling it. Anyway, Edith Bowman is a Radio 1 DJ who is, in my opinion, terrible at what she does, so she is in no position to criticise anyone else. If you are going to do that you had better be sure you are good at what you do. Edith isnt.

This is a guest decided by the bosses. Moyles always said he only has on guests he likes and there is no way he is a fan of Derulo. This one is straight out of the ndubz mould and designed to link Chris with the younger audience. A load of utter bollox if you ask me. Surprised Chris agreed to this.

They seem like genuinely nice people and make for a great couple. Good luck to them.

Same here. I have quite taken to Scott at drivetime but his show just does not work in the mornings.

I really don't get what you two are on about here. I just listened to this interview and I think she came across very well. If anything, it was Chris that was the problem. He didn't seem particularly kind to her and gave the impression he didn't particularly want her there. I think this was one of those interviews done purely to keep Chris in touch with the target audience, much like the doomed N-Dubz infatuation.

Yesterday was the first time I heard Matt Edmondson for any significant length of time and my god is he terrible. He has no wit whatsoever, no personality, no broadcasting talent and a total inability to think on his feet. The bit where he hooked up a caller with Roy from Scouting For Girls made me cringe. I seriously cannot see this guy being on R1 this time next year. If he is the R1 execs may as well hold their hands up and give up.

Edith has wonderful style in my opinion. Granted, she might make the odd faux pas, but by and large she looks great when she makes the effort. Back to radio, I absoloutely cannot stand her when she is solo. She is so insincere, bland and cringe inducing that I have to turn off. However, when she is interviewing she is excellent and maybe the best interviewer on Radio 1 daytime at the moment(including weekends) and I thought her show with Colin Murray made for really good radio. After he left I went off Edith 100%

Huw seems like a nice guy but is terribly dull.
