Dev sits in for Greg next week 15-19th March.

Matt Edmonson will sit in for Dev.la

I'm surprised Greg is having a week off just one week after the launch of the Chart Update.

Since he started on this show he had a week of for Christmas during which Nihal filled in and other than that he's had no time off, so I think chart or no chart he deserves a holiday!

The time off is more to do with moving into a new flat/apartment/house than taking time off for the sake of is it and he has had a couple of days off here and then

Yes... Also, he is training for S.R. - he will shortly be setting up a Sport Relief page, where we can all sponsor him!! :)

Delta Machine, Depeche Mode - buy NOW !!

I do hope its not "Hi I'm Dev I normally do early breakfast" every link!!

It's more likely to be "Hi I'm Dev off of earlieeees.."

I actually gave Dev a listen this morning and I thought he was really good! Made me laugh out loud a few times waking up the mother in the process. :* He's definately getting better which, quite frankly, early breakfast is all about. After all, he is the next big thing at Radio 1 ;) He's getting a lot better and sounding more confident and comfortable than he was a few months ago so if his recent performances are anything to go by he should do a good job covering for Scott.

in my opinion i think they should put Matt on gregs show!

I still don't see what all this hype is about Matt. I have listened to him on the 'Big 5' and don't really find him that funny...

Anyway i'll keep an open mind for Sunday at 10....

I liked him but I can tell it's a sense of humour that appeals to few.

I like the name drop feature. I sense Fearne Cotton might be a major perpetrator of this. I actually think Scott won't be far behind.

I dont have a problem with him saying who he is, its just not necessary to keep saying 'I normally do early breakfast' I've only heard it once up to now today though. ;)

    • Moyles spent most of the 52hr sgow calling him that lol
    • I stand guilty as charged as the DS poster.... It was I Okay, so yes Connor has good energy and does the show well, I take it back, however, my last experience of him he spent every other link saying "It's Connor Coates in for the ledge that is Charlie Hedges" and then he started saying "Clem Douglas" - again after critisising that I see she is styled as that sometimes The point I was trying to make was, yes we know it's Charlies show, we know she is a ledge, and we know she is not here today, no need to keep reminding us Regards R1 dance, I suspect Arielle is pointed at the drivetime slot to go against Mistajam unless we know it is breakfast that will be live ? Apologies to Connor and anyone offended by my comments, was just going on my past experience of Mr Coates, who seems to be a very competnt presenter
    • "Grandad Nelson" lolllll 😂
    • I know we have discussed this before, but can someone shed some light hoping @Lily Georgia can help Since the Wogan House closure, and 1-330 from Manchester, studio 82A (Mills) has been used by Scott's R2 show, in fact i note that him and Grandad Nelson are from there now days The question I have is with 1-330 coming from London again soon, who is getting a new studio? will Scott move to one of the newer ones down the corridor or will he remain in 82A and M&M get a new studio They cannot use 82D as that is used for drive, and currenlty 82A is in use by Scott from 2-4pm In the old days it used to be 82A for Greg, Scott, Annie and 82D Adele, RMC, Drive, Jack I note that Jack is in a brand new studio so maybe M&M will come from that one as well, maybe the same one as Vine uses?
    • Maia Beth is doing Friday Early Breakfast on 7th & 14th June.
    • Joel Mitchell is in for Nat on Sunday 9th June.
    • Ore Olukoga is on 13.00-16.00 on Friday 31st May and Friday 7th June.  Nikita Kanda is doing Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd June.
    • Very pleased for producer Amy - it's no coincidence many of the best shows in recent years have had her working on them. You can tell her & Helena are a great production duo and that the whole Matt & Mollie team are a really close-knit unit in general. Some lovely speeches by both Matt & Mollie too to end the show on Sunday.
    • Echo what most have said here. Connor has great energy which is important for that sort of slot and the shame for him is that the dance line-up is so strong that there's no obvious 'in' for him to get a regular slot -Danny, Sarah, Pete Tong, Arielle, Charlie Hedges, Jerry and Charlie Tee are all great in their slots. A live show on Radio 1 Dance really feels the obvious way to get a proper foot in the door at Radio 1. Although to be fair to the DS critic I think it was just the one poster and can very much hear Connor in my head saying 'in for the legend that is Charlie Hedges'.
    • James Cusack is in for Jack on Friday 14th June, doing the chart while Jack is at Download.
    • I remember hearing Amy first on Scotts show and she was great on that, the daft quiz questions always made me smile. It's really nice to see the hard work has paid off for them all.
    • Actually the worst tends to be those who comment on Radio Today news stories. People who haven’t listened to younger oriented radio stations in years who say things like “who?” about any job going to any presenter aged younger than 50.
    • Ahhh very happy for Amy - that’s very well deserved! I didn’t hear their final show but are Matt and Mollie keeping Helena? Hopefully she might be the main producer of their new show!
    • I bet Amy and Greg are going to be fun together
    • Ah that's great for Amy. Yes I assumed she would be going back to afternoons!
