What's your definition of the word "cool"? Is it someone like 50 Cent? Zane Lowe? Bruce Willis?

My personal definition of "cool" has to be Keith Murray (W.A.S.). I mean, have you seeeeeeen him I absolutely adore boys like him. No a*se, cool hair, indie clothes, random sense of humour, intelligence. Simply - cool

To me, The Kills seem to epitomise "cool". They exude "cool"ness through their music, how they dress, how they walk, talk. It's not a kind of cool that I'd like to be, it seems like they're trying too hard.

Me personally, the kind of "cool" I like is people like Wheatus, and I suppose also Keith Murray of WAS, who aren't the typical "cool" kind of people but seem like fun people. Paul Smith of Maximo Park is very cool in my opinion, he's not afraid to be different and he's got loads of energy when he's on stage.

Most things on Radio 1 I'd consider cool. I think anything Mills or Moyles mentions is rather cool, and in terms of music I'd say anything Zane plays is something acceptable as someone that likes indie.

As uncool as it is to say it but the coolest people I know are my parents. My dad seriously lives his own life the way he wants to. Does whatever he likes on the spur of the moment and get's through life using his own natural talents.

My mum is cool in a very understated way. Normally she presents a very typical mum face to the world but she's lived an amazing life. As a child of the sixties she's done things that would make even my head spin (she snogged Led Zeppelin (The whole band) when they played a tiny venue in Portsmouth before they were famous) She's just got back from partying in Vegas and whenever I see her she's always bought me some really cool clothes that are the dog's knees. She knows exactly what I like clothes wise which is extroverted and unconventional (Just like everybody else) and she throws the most amazing parties as well.

That is a questionable definition though at best.

But Moyles is the one that everyone is talking about. You don't go to work and hear people saying "did you hear what Zane played last night". Chances are you will with Moyles. To me that's cool.

In my opinion the coolest person on earth is Ilco van der Linde. (I spam forums about him hehe) He's a Dutch activist who organizes massive youth events for charitable causes, is behind the Liberation Day music festivals in the Netherlands, and is the founder of Dance 4 Life, a worldwide HIV awareness youth movement. Cool people are out there making an impact on the world. Thats what I think is cool.
