Before my Latin GCSEs I played frisbee in all my study leave and got an A*.

But before my AS exams I spent most of the time sunbathing and chatting to friends... and got a handfull of Bs, Cs and Ds, and had to do a lot of resits.

So the moral is, GCSE you can afford to mess around, AS and A2 you can't. I don't remember being that scared about GCSEs though, except when waiting outside the exam room before the exam.

I was predicted A*s for english, and got an A and a B.

If it's an consolation to whoever has English Lit tomorrow I managed to screw mine up (I answered a wrong question, missed a 1/3 of the paper) and still got a C :D It's like my proudest moment ever, I was so set up to fail it.

But I'm not convinced and your hopeless hearts won't stick. For the first time I know, this is now who I am.

Ugh, my GCSEs got off to the worst start imaginable 2 years ago when I got absolutely no sleep whatsoever the night before my first exam (RE) and completely messed the whole thing up. Thankfully I managed to calm myself down after that and I ended up with the results I wanted in most cases. Still wish I'd got more than a D in RE though... oh well, these things happen. Really can't believe I ended up with an A* for English Lit, in the first question I just rambled on about the use of stage directions in An Inspector Calls for about 3 pages and I can't even remember what the hell I did after that. English exams are always the worst but it's the best feeling in the world when you get through 'em.

And trust me, GCSEs are nowhere near as bad as A levels... I got an A* for GCSE Science but I'm currently on a D for A level Biology.

A levels are horrible... I got A* at Latin GCSE, but now I'm struggling so much and unless the teacher goes through it word by word and tells me what to translate when, I can't make any sense of it, and the exam's in a couple of weeks time :(

I'm not really bothered about AS Level results. At the end of the day I've done average, I'll be disappointed if I don't do 'average' though.

well in Scotland the Standard grades are from 1-7.

1 being for the brightest and 7 for those who may not have bothered going to School, due to my long term illness I never went back into a classroom from the age of 14 and I was forced to leave at age 16. Guess I cant complain too much as I have managed to get a job and some other college qualifications.

I'm going to Birmingham Uni!!!!!!!! :woo: :woo: :woo: Got an A for Spanish, an A for French, a C for Environmental Science and a D in Biology. But all I really cared about was the French and the Spanish, hehe.

I'm going to Nottingham!

I was up all night with my friends worrying about the results so I'm not very articulate at the moment. I got straight A grades, I'm still in shock. I just scraped an A in Latin, I am so happy, all those hours struggling with translations and literary techniques were worth it in the end. I also got As in Geography and Economics which I am happy with. I was predicted ABB, so it's amazing to have got AAA. I've also got an A in History AS so all together it's pretty good and I'm very happy. I cried when I saw my results, then stared at the paper in disbelief for about 10 minutes.

    • Richie Anderson in for Rylan tomorrow.
    • Mylo and Rosie said at the end of their show today that they would also be on Early Breakfast on Thursday 24th July (even though the schedule still says Dean)
    • James is in for Dean from Monday 11th to Thursday 14th August. Dean is in for Greg from Monday 11th to Friday 15th August. Jaguar is in for Sarah on Friday 15th August.
    • Tara Kumar is in for Alyx on Sunday 13th July.
    • Conor Knight & Lauren Layfield are in for Matt & Mollie on Monday 14th July.  Matt is solo on Tuesday 15th July.  Jerry is in for Mollie between Wednesday 16th & Thursday 24th July.  Maia Beth is covering Future Pop on Wednesday 16th & Wednesday 23rd July. On Sunday 27th July the Chillest Show is reduced to an hour, and 20.00-21.00 is a BBC Proms special with JADE. On Thursday 31st July 18.00-20.00 in place of Jack's show it's the Dance Party Warm-Up with Danny Howard (ahead of the Ibiza weekend).
    • Dean McCullough in for Greg w/c 4th August. James Cusack on EB.
    • Well looks like Mollie is off all month now so presumably a personal matter.
    • Intrigued why Matt & Mollie aren't presenting breakfast on Monday, with James in for them instead (which has happened before).. or even James given a chance to present the breakfast show?
    • Sam & Danni seem to be down for Breakfast on Monday. James Cusack on Going Home. That’s another new name in the list of “people who have hosted Going Home in 2025”.
    • Wednesday, surely? But this is another mess, as this weeks Summer press release said it’ll be Sam & Danni no Jamie from the 28th - so it’s actually a whole week earlier!
    • Jamie Laing’s last show before his summer break will be on Wednesday 16th July.
    • I worked out once Scott spent 3 months of a year off his own slot in the Moyles days and more like 4 in Grimmys days, six weeks of his own holiday and projects, six covering Grimmy plus some ad hoc days
    • Back on topic, I think there's quite a few of the current Radio 1 presenters who would be able to adapt to Radio 2's style in the future. It's more of question of how many of them will actually end up there. With much of R2's line up changed over the past couple of years, it's quite possible we won't see much movement there, and R2 management might even decide to look elsewhere to bring in new presenters in future.
    • With OJ covering on bank holidays. She is the best person for the job however... they're going to end up with a situation like Scott covering R1 breakfast back in the day, where she spends quite a bit of time off her own slot covering Breakfast, plus her own holiday and other commitments. She's been filming for something recently which has meant she's been off several days a week since May. She was off last week, on breakfast this week, OJ is on Mon/Tues next week, then She's off the following two weeks.
    • Looking back at this I would say now that Sara is the main cover - I think she has been reestablished as it now
