Gay People

I would like to know what your views on this subject are, including your experiences with gay people and how you think society as a whole treats homosexual people in the 21st century.

I am also curious to know if you think gay people should have more rights regards marriage/adoption etc., or if you perceive them to have enough rights as currently stands.

I dont have a problem nor have i ever had a problem. Everyone is human and everyone should be granted the same rights. I dont understand why homosexuals arent allowed to marry or adopt, many i know would make much better parents than most of straight people i know.

I have nothing against them. I mean i am straight and i like woman, i cant help that thats the way i am. A relative of mine is gay, he is my dads cousin and they are very close freinds. He came to a barbacue over towards my way (he lives a bit far away from us), and i knew he was coming. At first i though like "what if he is going to be like, is he going to be touching my face and acting like Lilly Savage?". When i met him i wouldn't of thought he was gay, he didn't even speak in the stereotype way. He just spoke normal, he shuck my hand and introduced himself. And he was one of the most funniest people i have ever met. Like Scott, he dosent show off and think he is better than everyone becuase he was gay. He was just a real person.

There was someone at my high school who acted like he was gay and thought he was better than everyone becuase of it. And he used to deny it everytime he was asked. He was a nob, but people didn't hit him becuase he was looked upon as a girl.

But apart from that, i think they are ok! I dont treat all accordingly to an experience of 1 p**ck.

on the grid.

homosexuals are allowed to marry arent they?

Yes, partially.

Currently, only Canada, Belgium and the Netherlands permit gay marriage and some US states have recognized that to forbid gay marriage under the US constitution would be 'unconstitutional', but they haven't yet legalized it any of the individual states.

In the UK, civil unions (or civil partnerships as they're sometimes known) are legal, which gives gay couples the same rights as married couples but doesn't recognize them as being legally married.

No I don't have a problem with gay people, one of my childhood friends is gay, he's a lovely guy, no different to a straight guy. Sexuality doesn't make you any different, all people should innately have the same rights such as marriage, kids etc. in my opinion.

It's probably the Isle of Man, as the Isle of Wight is part of England and England is a constituent part of the UK where the legal age of sex for homosexuals is 16.

I don't know if the Isle of Man has now fully legalized homosexuality, probably not. It isn't constitutionally part of the UK like England, Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland and therefore isn't required to implement UK law.
