Just found out that most of my mates are in Salamanca for my birthday :| so you guys are going to have to celebrate it with me im fraid..

I know the feeling. Everyone I know is busy on the evening of my birthday, so it looks like it might just be a quick lunch time celebration (if anyone can make that..) then an evening at home revising with just my parents for company

I'm pretty good today, considering the exams kick off tomorrow. I got a full 8 hours sleep last night and I didn't want to get up when my alarm went. Did 3 hours of solid geography this morning, produced 12 pages of revision notes, and my brain feels like it's turned to mush. But I spent half an hour out in the sunshine and it's sooo nice. This afternoon I'm going to do some more work, could work outside but it probably wouldn't be terribly productive. It's just a matter of prioritising between the 2 exams tomorrow and the 4 next week as to what to revise when....

67th is better than 95th... :) I'm a crap runner. Did a 5k charity run last year though, it was quite a laugh.

What do you have to do for your geography field work? Last year I had to measure the length and roundness of several thousand pebbles on Brighton beach -- took us an entire afternoon and nothing came out of it anyway. Pebbles really did lose their romantic appeal after that..... I can't go to the beach and relax in the same way anymore :-?

I'm good. I had two exams this afternoon. I thought I was going to pass out during the first one cos it was so hot in the room and I messed up a question which is worth 24/120 but hey... it's only a resit. The second one went really well - first they gave me a paper that someone else had just written half the answers on, but I decided to be honest and asked for another one. It was easy as well. I gave up at 4pm because Scott was on and I was bored and if I'd spent any more time in the exam room I would have passed out. Only 7 more exams left to go...

The original Omen was a load of crap IMO, can't imagine the remake being that much better. It uses just about every single horror movie cliche in existence.

So save the last dance

For me my love 'cause I

    • Nothing to apologise about, I was just intrigued on how DS and UM react
    • I would be pretty confident that if they keep avoiding using James Cusack on that slot over the next few weeks, then it will probably be him that gets the show permanently!
    • That’s two names who probably won’t be doing that slot permanently then.
    • Moyles spent most of the 52hr sgow calling him that lol
    • I stand guilty as charged as the DS poster.... It was I Okay, so yes Connor has good energy and does the show well, I take it back, however, my last experience of him he spent every other link saying "It's Connor Coates in for the ledge that is Charlie Hedges" and then he started saying "Clem Douglas" - again after critisising that I see she is styled as that sometimes The point I was trying to make was, yes we know it's Charlies show, we know she is a ledge, and we know she is not here today, no need to keep reminding us Regards R1 dance, I suspect Arielle is pointed at the drivetime slot to go against Mistajam unless we know it is breakfast that will be live ? Apologies to Connor and anyone offended by my comments, was just going on my past experience of Mr Coates, who seems to be a very competnt presenter
    • I know we have discussed this before, but can someone shed some light hoping @Lily Georgia can help Since the Wogan House closure, and 1-330 from Manchester, studio 82A (Mills) has been used by Scott's R2 show, in fact i note that him and Grandad Nelson are from there now days The question I have is with 1-330 coming from London again soon, who is getting a new studio? will Scott move to one of the newer ones down the corridor or will he remain in 82A and M&M get a new studio They cannot use 82D as that is used for drive, and currenlty 82A is in use by Scott from 2-4pm In the old days it used to be 82A for Greg, Scott, Annie and 82D Adele, RMC, Drive, Jack I note that Jack is in a brand new studio so maybe M&M will come from that one as well, maybe the same one as Vine uses?
    • Maia Beth is doing Friday Early Breakfast on 7th & 14th June.
    • Joel Mitchell is in for Nat on Sunday 9th June.
    • Ore Olukoga is on 13.00-16.00 on Friday 31st May and Friday 7th June.  Nikita Kanda is doing Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd June.
    • Very pleased for producer Amy - it's no coincidence many of the best shows in recent years have had her working on them. You can tell her & Helena are a great production duo and that the whole Matt & Mollie team are a really close-knit unit in general. Some lovely speeches by both Matt & Mollie too to end the show on Sunday.
    • Echo what most have said here. Connor has great energy which is important for that sort of slot and the shame for him is that the dance line-up is so strong that there's no obvious 'in' for him to get a regular slot -Danny, Sarah, Pete Tong, Arielle, Charlie Hedges, Jerry and Charlie Tee are all great in their slots. A live show on Radio 1 Dance really feels the obvious way to get a proper foot in the door at Radio 1. Although to be fair to the DS critic I think it was just the one poster and can very much hear Connor in my head saying 'in for the legend that is Charlie Hedges'.
    • James Cusack is in for Jack on Friday 14th June, doing the chart while Jack is at Download.
    • I remember hearing Amy first on Scotts show and she was great on that, the daft quiz questions always made me smile. It's really nice to see the hard work has paid off for them all.
    • Actually the worst tends to be those who comment on Radio Today news stories. People who haven’t listened to younger oriented radio stations in years who say things like “who?” about any job going to any presenter aged younger than 50.
