I know what you mean.... when I pulled it up on screen as well this morning, the Fearne's Cotton "Mumatron" song went off like a rocket, resulting in me getting a row for excess noise from a member of library staff!!

You'd have thought in a library they'd mute the computers by default (not like the sound is a necessary thing on library computers)? Or did ya just not get earphones plugged in in time?

The proxy in Ayrshire libraries is mental..... Even with my earphones plugged in, you can't mute the sound until AFTER something has started to play.

They have also blocked the BBC Sites, such as iPlayer, so I can never listen again, and you can't listen LIVE to radio 1.

Also, I can't get to copy and paste Youtube stuff either.

Even the website is clearly designed by a complete moron.

That's probably to stop people watching BBC programs in there without paying the licence fee, since anyone can become a member of the library for free.
