Have just been to the DENTIST. Lucky to still be alive. :-(

Dentists have a substance they can plant in your tooth to kill you later. It's true because I saw in on a classic episode of Columbo ;)

(well, it was digitalis coated in a time-release gel stuffs, hidden under a crown)

Also just seen a tweet from Michael Winner that he's off to the Dentist, so you're not alone. He once said (well, tweeted) that I was 'very naughty but rite' ya know :P

Yah. I hate being unorganised and I haven't done ant homework all week amd I've just been stressed and meh.

By the way, why does it seem impossible to find nerds on facebook? It's a GRAMMAR school, hello? So why is everyone popular? Also, please can someone give me tips on how to find someone on facebook?

I think he's in my year but could be in the one above. He is on my bus and quite tall, wears glasses and had a massive backpack, but OMG he has the most beautiful olive-y skin ever. I have tried searching for him under the names Adam, Ben, Ryan, etc. I would have thought we'd at least have some mutual friends. :(

OMASM. Radio presenters are like fruit. Matt is my kumquat and Scott is blatantly my orange.

maybe i shouldn't be giving relationship advice because i'm known as an ultimate fuck up.

but just go over to him and talk to him, you're going to have to get the ball rolling. easier said than done, but he dosen't sound the type that's going to go to you.

on the grid.

I agree with DC, just go and talk to him about something, or see what he likes doing and ask him a question about it. But I'm probably not the best person to give relationship advice either.... :(

How did the controlled assessment go by the way? Oh and I'm with you on the homework thing, I have 4 English question to do over the weekend, which I should've done 3 weeks ago.... #fail

I can't get someone out my mind its unbelievable. Normally after a while you stop bothering and gradually end up not giving a shit at all but with this 1 its different.

When someone says something to you which leads to a huge change in your life you don't find it as easy to forget about them I guess.

i need something to pre-occupy myself with over these winter months. looks like the ps3 is gonna have to go into overdrive.

or have a go at Onlive, that's pretty good if you have a halfway decent net connection like I... don't... ohwait.

Agreed, I had the misfortune to be at the Glasgow auditions for Z Factor breifly and I have never seen so many deluded no hopers in 1 area at 1 time.

Get on the iPlayer, I'm not a big tv fan myself other than comedy and stuff on Dave, so whenever I have time to kill I get Chris Moyles on the iPlayer cos I can't listen to it at work any more.

Its getting closer and closer to the stage where I have to tell a friend that I won't be attending his wedding. Its not the "not attending" bit thats bothering me, more when he no doubt asks my reasons for not going and when I tell him I've got a fair idea he'll get angry.

To cut a long story short, the girl told a friend of mine that guys paid her for sex but seemed to think this wasn't prostitution. My mate told me shes not a hooker any more and that shes a pornstar (impossible based on what she told me about her "modelling" the 1 time I met her). Anyways shes been found on a website for that kinda thing and shes still regularly logging in so its safe to say shes not given up anything whatsoever.

He thinks he's just a regular guy but to be honest he's pretty naieve and me and my other mates think he's been sucked in by the fact shes a "model" and she seems to like him so he probably doesnt wanna let her be the one that got away. When they first got engaged (£500 ring I might add) I know a friend tried to tell him he was being an idiot although the prositution thing wasn't mentioned. We were told that this was what he wants and we were to keep our opinions to ourselves.

I think it bothers me a little more than it bothers some of my other mates but I can't go along and look like I'm happy for him when I know what I know about her. Most of us have had an ex who has been cheating probably, I know I have, so when it all comes out I have a feeling it'll hit him hard.

My cats been missing for a week tomorrow
LOL .....

I can only assume this was either a poor attempt at humour or Viv is one of these massively against cat people.

It was an attempt at humour.

I've got a better one today... we had cat for dinner last night with chianti and beans... #silenceofthecats (lambs)

Hope it shows up tho'. I would hate it if my pooch pal vanished.

I'm not a big fan o cats, tbh... v. smelly, unpleasant claws, tear your jumpers and tights ... and some of the owners can be a bit "loopy" as well. "Crazy cat lady"... Plus you can't get the same affection as you can off a dog. My pooch jumps up and comes running the minute it sees me !!

Aah see we come from opposite sides of the fence there. I'm not a big fan of dogs becayse they are so jumpy and want attention all the time, the smell thing happens to matter what it is though. Cats probably do have a smell to people who arent around them much but because I've been around them since I was a baby I don't notice it.

Tights wise, thats not really something I would know about ;)

My neighbour's cat ripped my tights years ago. I never forgave that. #pussybastard

I like the attention from dogs.

So you're telling us you don't like pussy...

I am surprised you have a Pooch pal though, I'd expect something more bovine...

    • To be fair, Scott & Chris would've still been fine on Radio 1. It was mentioned at the time that Scott's move was very much on Radio 2's part rather than Radio 1 wanting to move them on. That's the one problem that Radio 2 has, trying to appeal to such a wide demographic.. it's the perfect listen for many, but equally a turn off for many others. I think they have the balance fairly right.
    • I agree Scott has always been a good standalone presenter, but always better when with someone. When chappers left the radio one show it felt a different show and Chris joining was what it needed and brought new life. for the format of the radio 2 show Scott’s show fits well with the station but again, there’s the huge gap between radio1 and 2 As been said already old radio2 listeners feel it now feels too young with latest changes, yet old radio1 listeners still feel radio 2 feels too old. The inbetween stage demographic of too old for radio 1 but too young for radio 2 is still not catered for radio 2 was left to grow old with its audience for too long and to change things up now feels to try and change a brand image the right thing to do is leave it as it is and cater for that 1.5 demographic which I’m sure the new proposed 00s and 10s station will do if approved. Problem is it’s so overdue that by the time it gets off the ground these listeners are already likely to be lost and the changing image of radio2 likely to lose what it stands for as a brand with the “it’s too young now “  moving to boom and the “ it still sounds old “ crowd not able to move with their favourite presenters like Scott so finding themself on capital a radio 1.5 would have been perfect for Scott and Chris, seems unlikely but this is why I think who branding of bbc radio needs a rethink if these new stations get off ground
    • Bank Holiday Monday Schedule 6am-10am: Arielle Free in for Greg 10am-2pm: Dean & Vicky (No Rickie, Melvin & Charlie) 2pm-6pm: Vick & Jamie (No Katie) 6pm onwards: As normal.
    • Dare I say they've sounded great this past week?  Very much gelling.  Maybe less pressure?  Seem to be having a genuinely good time and not forcing things.
    • I'm in the minority in my workplace, most of them love country music.  Me, the American, does not care for it.  That said, I haven't haaaaaated some of the country adjacent stuff that's been on the R1 playlist.
    • The Eurovision semi finals are on from 8 to 10pm on Tuesday 7th and Thursday 9th May with Richie Anderson. That means Sara Cox in on till 8 on those days.  Saturday 11th May is Eurovision 'Super Saturday... 1-3pm Your Ultimate Abba song with Gary Davies  3-6pm Michelle Visage's Eurovision All Stars 6-8pm Eurovision Request Party with Owain Wynn Evans 8pm Eurovision Grand Final with Scott Mills and Rylan Clark
    • It is funny because everyone thought Matt was on the way out, now he's been described as the heir to Mills.
    • Some similar names to Big Weekend.  Sabrina Carpenter, David Guetta, Perrie, Bradley Simpson, Jax Jones, Caity Baser, Benson Boone, Rudimental. David Guetta is a good name.
    • Still Scott for me. I'm not too much into the 70s and 80s radio 2 play but do love the injection of 90s and 00s. Then Radio 2 push for all this country stuff and it not a UK thing, and I frankly don't like it. Scott's show as in features, hit and miss. I like the music police bit, but it feels like someone needs to join him. It's a shame Chappers is so busy with sports, as it feels like it could do with someone like him jumping on to help. Or a new partner. Radio 1, take or leave. Matt and Mollie are OK from what I've heard and share a good connection, but it's the playlist that throws me off. They could bring back Chris Moyles to do that show, but as soon as something like Headie One comes on with that casino keyboard produced crap. It would still be switched off from me.
    • Reading through this thread, I don't feel quite so alone now, in thinking that Scott Mills on R2 is not a good 'fit' (even less so than on R5).  I can't quite explain why this is so - I just know it to be so.
    • Arielle has been on holiday for the last 2 weeks getting married / honeymoon.  It'll be live from this week onwards.
    • CassKidd is in for Sian on Sunday 5th May.
    • The brought to tiers feature was also very good from them. I did wonder which DJ's were going to get picked out of the hat, that could have gone one way or the other and the caller said they were very opinionated lol. Correct decision putting katie in god tier!
    • The extended Dua Lipa track from M&M was very funny. I'm hoping Matt and Mollie and Scott have a good relationship a bit like Greg and Zoe collaborate on-air sometimes.
