Yeah I must have forgotten to mention it in Your Views, DC.

Bar the terrible experience of a hotel, and sleeping with a towel as a bed cover, and watching some dreaful Terry Christian show until 5am when I feel asleep, I'm feeling chirpy and I'm at Radio 1.

Exciting. The online department is so quiet!

I'm excited that you're at Radio 1! I'm such a geek! What have you been doing so far? Can we have a Jono's Diary special for the week please?!

I know too much, I couldn't possibly tell you everything!

i guess radio 1 are like offices, people just working away keeping things running. then i guess it's great if you are interested in radio, probably like myself. i dont think they like me though, they never have read out a text of mine over the air even after around 8 years of regular listening.

mind you scott was kind enough to read out one of my posts on here so that was all mega fun.

on the grid.

There's several offices here... er, there's the weekend department (which is empty), the daytime department for the djs like Scott and his show, the specialist department, and the online department. Plus the 1Xtra department, Newsbeat department and managers department. Probably more.

The studios are pretty hot without air con! They've got the new webcams running, which can stream video which will be cool if there's guests in.

Erm... what else can I say? There's a lot of six weeks of summer stuff going on, can't say much about that, but hopefully going to be sitting in on Scott's show, and maybe the Live Lounge at the end of the week for online purposes.

and jono give me some insight on how early they get their music, do they actually have music in real early but wait for galaxy to trial it before they do play it?

Can't say I've seen much music action. The DJs have a lot of CDs on their desks, and I think that all takes place in weekly meetings.

I agree with Bexy! Go on Jono, spill the beans, Jono's diary, you might even get a book deal!

Are you enjoying yourself at least?

If being on this site isn't in your job description, I seriously hope you are on here in your lunch hour!;)

:(Sad Nadal lost yesterday, but at least I enjoyed watching him do so!

It's like being at home, getting to surf the net and monitor Unofficial Mills, but without my mum moaning. Although I've only had a sandwich and a packet of crisps since yesterday lunch, might want to eat something later.

I was scared by the amount of radio stations London has. Most aren't actually supposed to be on air I don't think, but still, I was like 'ooh XFM'.

there's a couple of good documentaries about pirate radio in london still on around the internet. on every block of flats there is probably an antenna for a pirate radio station, at least one. i remember watching one bbc doc about them and to get the cable from the roof to the 'studio' someone was abseiling down the side of the flats. it all gets very violent between the stations as well.

get this, my station is legal of course. we got our liscence and started to test broadcast on fm. then we got threatened by our local friendly pirates becuase we were using their airspace apparently.

on the grid.
