So they're really slagging him off in one of the Ricky, Steve and Karl Facebook groups. Having spent most of my life in the US, I only really know him from mentions on their stuff and now here.   So now I'm curious to listen to some of his work.  Is there a particular playlist or what not someone could suggest?

I'll post some clips to some YouTube videos here, but if you want a series of classic clips then headover to the rival website chrismoyles.net and head over to the Clips section. There's dozens there for you.

As suggested Chrismoyles.net has a lot of clips of various funny things he's done. But if you want to listen to how he generally was on a full show, I've put a mixcloud playlist together of a few of his shows on there. There's a few breakfast shows, and a fair few of the old afternoon shows. Personally thought he was at his best on afternoons but breakfast was good too.

Afternoon show ran from 1998 to 2003. Breakfast from 2004 to 2012.

For something different from him, the afternoon of 9/11 is on here too. Worth a listen as its one of the very few occasions his true professional broadcaster head was put on and he was serious.

His shows on radio x are better I think as he is totally different now to how he was in radio 1 days he sees, to have toned down his act a fair bit which is why the stick he’s getting to iac is wrong I think although he is 48 now

Completely disagree here. His Radio 1 afternoon / breakfast period was exceptional, and while he remains a fine broadcaster, the shows are nowhere near the same quality. As you say, he's toned things down a fair bit, which is inevitable but less engaging as a result.

Spot on imo. You mellow out as you get older, so his early 2000's rants are far less. But it's also a combination of that and saying slightly the wrong thing, will offend your friends' neighbours' butlers' tortoise. Not saying going flat out to offend someone of course, but even a tounge n cheek thing to make someone laugh 15 years ago wouldn't pass now. I'm amazed Scott and Chris were able to get away with what they did for so long tbh.

on the grid.
