I don't think the accent from that part of the country is common I just think she makes her self sound over common on the radio yet doesn't when she is on TV?

Like Moyles said about a week back, different accents have different connotations. It just so happens that people think people from the north of England sound thick, People with a cockney accent are arrogant and Scottish accents, erm, im not really sure. You cant understand them?! perhaps you could fill me in on that one!

Anyway, point being, it doesnt really make her sound common. Its how you percieve her accent And personally, id prefer she spoke the accent of where she came from, keepin it real like (cor! street!) than cover it up and try to pretend shes something shes not.

I love regional accents, there are a lot of Scots ones, I think I like Glasgow best. Funny there's no DJ with a Scots accent is there? Or have I missed one?
