I like them. My favourite songs off of the first album were Bedshaped and She Has No Time.

The new album is more heavy and it's good, I like it. I haven't listened to it that much yet though.

I quite like Keane, think there songs are quite good, also they come from Sussex which makes them better.

I like them. The thing is, unless you're a massive fan, you don't know whos singing the songs. The songs are great then you're told it's Keane and you think "Duh!"

My friend (who has Grade 8 on 3 instruments and is going to study music at uni) stated that Keane, Coldplay and Snow Patrol all sound exactly the same and once you've heard one of them you've heard them all. I disagree: I like these bands and also bands like Morning Runner and loads of other music of this type of style as well as loads of other stuff.

Do you guys think Keane are just the same as Snow Patrol and Coldplay though? I really don't...

Yeah that's perhaps the downfall of their album. I remember getting the first one and not particuarly finding it that great apart from the singles they released.

The first album wasn't bad but the new album, bar the one they released, has been terrible. I just can not listen to it at all.

When I think of Keane I can't help but think of random 20 somethings in big rented white vans blaring it out while on their way to ikea in a big convoy with loads of ther 20 somethings all listening to either Keane or Coldplay on a sunday afternoon.

To be honest, I don't like them. The theme appears to be sadness/melancholy akin to Coldplay or whatever and you don't get that feel-good feeling with them.

Coldplay bore me to tears too.

I was gutted about Coldplay. They were so over hyped with X & Y I got their album and just felt like I'd wasted my money. It wasn't so bad with Keane's album.

The Smiths are quality.

I feel the same way as you about X & Y by Coldplay. Apart from Fix You, it wasn't up to anything much. A Rush Of Blood To The Head was much better. Speed Of Sound was a really boring song. Thankfully though my sister bought X&Y, saving me the money. I much prefer Athlete, 2 great albums from them.

Keane/Coldplay and the like annoy me. People listen to them for chill out music but it just ends up winding me up even more to be honest. I agree with Serin, they bore me to tears.
