I went to the Black Forest in Germany once.. Is that in North Germany?

No, it's quite southern :)

*may not be true*

It is a type of cake, so you're not too wrong. It's a cake from the Black Forest.

Wow, we're really off topic now...

Well I did write the New Forest first.. Before realizing that is in Hampshire, pretty near me, not Germany(:

Hey everyone! Listening from Charleston, SC! I love the Scott Mills show. Anyone out there know where I can find the audio from an Oh! What's Occurring episode wherein Scott mentions the number of times the word "Hootenanny" is used? I'm guessing it was from a Jools Holland show. Thanks!!

If I'm listening on holiday, does that make me an international listener? 8)

If it does, I'll be no international listener for the next four weeks :hahaha:

Hi from Monterey, California I found Radio 1 a year or so ago and got hooked at how much better / different types of music than US radio

I would've thought our music would've been similar to yours...never mind.

We're looking for more international visitors! We know you're out there as I had a nice e-mail off of a Canadian today. Tell us how you got listening and visiting!

I've been listening to Scott on iTunes podcast for a few years now. Been lurking here, too, for a little bit. Decided to join the conversations.

Finland sends it regards to all other Scott-addicted nations, been listening to the podcast for about 2-3 years now. Still missing Chappers, the show hasn't been quite the same since he left. There was a brief pause (a few months) when I thought I'd lost my ipod and after finding it I realized there hasn't been an update since 19.11.2010, was it cancelled or something?

    • There's been a lot of positive reaction to the Mylo and Rosie news so am interested now to hear what their shows are like. And yep wouldn't be surprised if they stay on beyond July as cover ever so often. And that Friday-Sunday news was hidden in the small print a little. It presumably means we lose Party Anthems all that month as that is what has happened this year with Big Weekend, Glasto for example. I certainly I hope it isn't Party Anthems being quietly axed full stop - it and Future Pop are 2 real hidden gems on Radio 1.
    • I’m pleased for Mylo and Rosie, they were highly thought of in our local area and definitely worthy of that slot
    • I’m thinking the same redding and Leeds etc
    • -Considering how little Jamie has appeared since Vick went off on maternity, it probably would've been more sensible to have Sam & Danni taking over from that point and have him return with Katie. - Mylo and Rosie are apparently very good and one of the more popular local presenters who lost their slot when Hits went fully national. I gather they are very popular in Yorkshire. I can see them definitely see them popping up again beyond this stint. -Life Hacks cover is yet another good opportunity for some new voices (I know Yinka has popped up in the past). I have enjoyed Pete Allison covering though. I'm assuming most of August's Friday to Sunday 1-4pm will be made up of festival coverage.
    • - Jamie Laing will take a break from Going Home from 28th July. Sam and Danni will cover. - Greg James will host his show until 11am from 21st July (Monday to Thursday only). - Mylo and Rosie, who previously hosted Hits Radio Breakfast in West Yorkshire, will host Friday EB in July. - Charley Marlowe of TikTok fame will host Friday EB in August. - Tskenya Frazer will host Life Hacks with Lauren Layfield in July, whilst Yinka Bikinni will host with Lauren in August. - Jamie Laing and Katie Thistleton will return to Going Home in September.
    • @eddemundo Thank you 👏🏼 👏🏼 That took some listening on Sounds to get that
