God, some of those people are really ugly :D I know it's not a beauty contest or anything (of course) but still.... :P

No, it's been basically a beauty contest in the past though. Hopefully Sir Alan learned from the mistake of taking Michelle Dewberry on over Ruth 'The Badger' Badger though (that was the final that put me off the show tbh)

Why's That What else you recording? :0

Hour special of Emmerdale at 7. The best episode EVER. Paddy, Marlon, Jackson and Aaron go to a gay bar. Amazing comedy and also really romantic. Then.... Aaron & Jackson sort of break up, Jackson drives away, Aaron phones him, he picks it up, but swerves because of an incoming lorry. He lands on a railway track, just as a train is coming...

Waterloo Road at 8. Josh was back in it. (:

The Apprentice at 9.

Awesome night of television. I love Wednesdays.

OMASM. Radio presenters are like fruit. Matt is my kumquat and Scott is blatantly my orange.

He didnt. Dan was fired

Thank God for that... He genuinely annoyed me. But it was somehow predictable..

And these are my predictions for the upcoming episodes:

next episode a girl gets fired. Melissa can make it to final, but a guy will win at the end of the season though.

Just a thought...

HA! What did I say? A girl got fired, as predicted. ;) I even thought, Joy will be fired when the three had to stay in the boardroom...

And some more predictions:

I think, next episode, Stella will be in the losing team..

Refusing exclusivity was such a stupid move last night, and deservedly resulted in a Boardroom scenario.

Find Lord Sugar typical in not firing a more feisty character. Despite warning types like this every series, he secretly loves a bit of attitude, no matter what he says.

Pleased with who went last night.

I don't blame him for liking a bit of attitude. I think as long as its put to good use it can be a major asset, no point in having a company full of people who just fade away into the background and too afraid to voice their thoughts like last nights one was

I agree re. the Boots exclusivity. WTF were they thinking? Their product was a load of crap anyway, so why not hand it on to someone else to develop? Timsk and I just sat and cringed at this huge error in judgement. This is why I was so surprised that the task leader didn't go. It was her incredibly poor call afterall. Mind you, I'd have happily got rid of the others too.

Something I really enjoyed about last night's episode was Karen's presence. I was worried about losing Margaret, but as Lord S said, Karen is very different, but she'll bring something good to the programme. I agree.

The women on the programme last night behaved like a bunch of harpies, and Karen quite rightly put them in their place.

Apropos of nothing, why did none of the women have eyebrows?

    • I think more likely it'll just be a temp presenter for weekends 1-4 to give Matt & Mollie time off, plus time to plan and pilot the new show.
    • Yeah I don’t think they’ll be anything that drastic - maybe a week or 2 of cover on early breakfast etc, but maybe just having that weekend afternoon slot covered over the summer means they can put someone on from September who maybe isn’t available until then?
    • But they said the main changes would happen in July.
    • But they said the main changes would happen in July.
    • I wouldn't be surprised if they do this around June time: 05.00 Ore Olukoga 07.00 Greg James 10.30 RMC 14.00 VKJ  That'll probably happen (for my guess) from the 17th June. And for weekends: 07:00 Sam & Danni 11:00 Gregor Davidson 15:00 Charlie Hedges Maybe Fridays aswell: 07:00 Greg James 11:00 Gregor Davidson 14:30 Jack Saunders
    • The Summer on Radio 1 thing makes me wonder whether they might be doing something similar to last year again where they have a temporary schedule over the summer before introducing changes in September - maybe the new host won’t start until after the summer?
    • There was talk on my Big Weekend group from the council about them waiting for Ticketmaster to send an email out. They said they've been waiting a week. Maybe they're waiting for train strike confirmation first.
    • It’s on Saturday and Friday that week too. I guess this would make sense, as it gives them roughly 6 weeks off weekends until they start the new show?
    • Yeah he's on more than usual including this Sunday and then 3 more shows in May according to the above. Makes me think it's James for the weekend shows also
    • For some reason there is 'Summer on Radio 1' listed on Sunday 2nd June, could this be replacing M&M until July?
    • They seem to be using James more for cover now makes me think it will be him getting weekends eitjer breakfast or 1 till 4
    • Yep am very much Capital Breakfast now. Jordan, Chris and Sian are a great trio and it's got that feel of the old shows Jordan and Chris used to do on Radio 1. It doesn't take itself too seriously but is packed full of content and slick. With Greg he's great but 6 years in you've probably heard it all before plus frankly I can sit through the Capital Playlist a lot more easily than the Radio 1 playlist (where some of the inclusions and omissions can be quite baffling at times). Plus after things like the Oscars or Met Gala or if there's a particularly big TV show or film or popstar then Greg won't half wang on about it at times. I guess it's partly to be expected with it being a Breakfast show on a young station but it can feel very London bubble and get tired.
    • Ore Olukoga is in for Arielle on Tuesday 14th May. James Cusack is in for Danny Beard on Saturday 1st June. James Cusack is in for Nat on Sunday 2nd June.
    • I honestly never thought in a million years I’d move from Radio 1 to be a regular Capital breakfast show listener. But it’s got pretty much everything I want - 3 really genuine, entertaining mates having a laugh, playing silly games and it all sounds great. I became a big fan of Chris from his days with Scott, became a Jordan fan on Going Home, and Sian Welby is newer to me but is loads of fun too.  It’s great and I’ve shocked myself by transferring my listening at breakfast. For me Greg’s show now feels very tired and it’s time for something new. But with Jordan gone that’s unlikely to happen anytime soon. Greg’s had a great run and I’m a fan - but there’s no new ideas now. I still listen to Radio 1 at other times - but this show feels like very serious competition for Greg.
    • They have built four new studios to increase capacity, alongside the existing six.  Bearing in mind that some of the output of R1, 1X, R2 & 6M comes from elsewhere, and Asian Network is gradually moving all output to Birmingham, this should be enough!
