Richard Branson is fascinatingly awesome. If there weren't actual proof that he is a flesh and blood human being, it would be easy to mistaken him as a fictional mogul dreamed up by a Hollywood scribe. To spend five minutes in his brain would probably be like a well-funded acid trip full of innovation and creativity mixed in with the actual ability to make unthinkable things happen.

All this is to say: the man has signed Spandau Ballet to be the band to play on his newly launched Virgin Galactic space transport, making them the first band to ever play in outer space.

seems a odd choice though to want Spandau Ballet to be the first band to play in space.

maybe Moyles can be the first dj to broadcast live from space for his last show ?

I like the things he's done, shame the companies he sold off like Virgin Media have gone to the dogs, they actually had reasonable service etc when they were still part of his empire.

Looking forward to him finally having his own F1 team this year though after his mild dalliance with Brawn.

i imagine it would be an internet based thing, radio 1 wouldn't have anything to do with music for older people. i imagine it would be televised or on radio 2.
