DarkAngelMJH 12
If it's what people want to hear Alan and judging by the 10 minute takeover some people do, then why shouldn't R1 play any? Quote I am Burdened with Glorious Purpose - Loki Laufeyson
Viv 14
NONE until the twelfth day before xmas !R1 shouldn't lower it's self to the commercial crap stations !I think R1 actually did stuff v. late last year, as I recall. That said, it's beginning to be Xmas choon overload this year now, with the radio and all the shops beginning to feel very harassing. Much be really annoying being a sales assistant. cxx666 10
NONE until the twelfth day before xmas !Forget the twelfth day before xmas, just end it at "NONE"The only 2 I have any time for are Don't Let The Bells End (Darkness) because I find it quite funny, and Merry Christmas Everybody (Noel Gallagher version only) because I think he covers ir pretty well. I hate having to listen to any of the others. Quote Not impressed with censorship

cxx666 10
Yep, I just try and block out those particular songs when they come on. Fortunately half my shift is done when the shop is closed so we put R1 over the tannoy instead Quote Not impressed with censorship
Viv 14
Thought so. I just noticed for the first time today how harassing these choons actually are, and how it just goes on a loop... cxx666 10
I'd much rather have a spot of Chase and Status or Sidney Samson than the likes of the Pogues or George Michael thank you very much lol Quote Not impressed with censorship
E*F*4L 10
If it's what people want to hear Alan and judging by the 10 minute takeover some people do, then why shouldn't R1 play any?its way to early, stations playing xmas songs in october, november & early december, if the songs are SO good why aren't they played all year 99% of the so called xmas songs have nothing to do with xmas anyway, its just pap to get people to spend there money.anyway the best xmas song is;xmas has become a joke now & all people care about is what gifts they receive, for little children its different, but people seem to have forgotten what xmas about !im not religious at all, but i know what xmas is about & its nothing to do with trees & gifts. The Power Of Love - Frankie Goes To Hollywood is by far the best xmas song, if you watch the video & just listen to the words, watch & learn every singer/band that is wanting to do a xmas song. DarkAngelMJH 12
It's not too early anymore, it's December. Shops start putting stuff out in September which is far too early. They aren't played all year round as they are festive songs, hence them being played when the season they are singing about is near.
