Since when did Radio 1 start playing annoying dance mixes of songs during the day on a Friday? I thought I was on Kiss for a minute.

Yeah they've been doing it for a few weeks now. I've mainly noticed it on Greg James on Friday afternoon. Another attempt to to appeal to the yoof I expect. I'm also getting sick of hearing Tinchy Stryder, Chipmunk and Taio Cruz on a loop the whole time. Radio 1 does sound quite Kiss-esque at the moment.

I've only heard it on Gregs show so far and it REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY annoys me! I wonder whether it was his idea or management's?

I like remixes, but only during dance shows (evening). I want to hear the proper songs during the day!

Radio 1 is like a poor version of Kiss during a lot of the day nowadays. Moyles is the only show that truly beats Kiss. Kiss imaging is also far superior, but I would be biassed

I've noticed this on Fridays a few times- it is intensely irritating. If I wanted to hear an inferior version of a song I'd listen to Floorfillers. I can't stand the vast majority of remixes; if I like a song I want to hear the original- the main appeal to me is the music, rather than the lyrics stuck over a different beat. It seems to me Radio 1 thinks most of its audience are into chav music- hence Cobra Starship et al being played at every opportunity. Stop this remix madness!

I don't see the problem to be honest, they play the same versions of songs 6 days a week, so why not have a little bit of variance on a friday. You lot are just grumpy and don't like the change.

Being more into dance I'm all in favour of playing dance remixes of various tunes. I actually think some of them are better than the originals.

I could understand if it was a spectacular mix. But Black Eyed Peas Boom Boom Pow without the substance is just random and doesn't make me want to consider going out.
