Ooh pick me! Pick me!

What's everyone's tipple. We know Scott loves a BIT of white wine. And we know Chappers is a Boddingtons fan. But what about Beccy and you? Are you fussy? Also how much is too much?

Also what will you be up to on your week off?

Beccy doesn't really drink very much at all. She'll have a couple of glasses of wine and be under the table! I'm generally not too fussy. I'll have a cold beer on the odd occasion (when there's an odd number in the date). I always think that when you're slurring, repeating yourself all the time, and can't remember where you live it's usually a sign that you've overdone things.

So obviously this has never happened to any of us. :*

Can we have new OWO every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday?

YES!

Has Laura become "She who must not be named"? or are you all still friends with her? If so, has she got engaged yet?

We're all still good friends! And yes, she is engaged! Although no dates for the wedding set yet.

Who has the dirtiest sense of humour - Laura or Becky?

Elle x

LAURA!!!! She's filth!

Right...back later...some chores to do.

Are you dreading the return of BeckyCam? bet it's a nightmare :P

Not at all actually. It'll be fun. And we can make sure she gets to work on time because everyone will be watching!

I'm trying to think of some fun show-related stuff we can do on the cam during the day. Otherwise it usually means Intenet Sam or Grey T Shirt Guy spend the day pretending they're children's TV presenters in front of the camera.

Anything you want to see? I think Scott needs to pick the Wonder Years there in his special dressing gown.

Will you all be attending the Sony Radio Awards or is Scott sending the flatmate?

We'll all be there after the "incident" at the Loaded LAFTA Awards! Actually, I think the flatmate did quite well considering he had to pick up the award in front of a room full of famous comedians!

The Sonys is the first day back after the Big Weekend and we're doing Chris's show too so no late night for us! Unless we pre-record Tuesday?....Hmmmmmmmm

1) Just how many emails does the e-mail account receive per day (on average).

2) Can the you play the girl off of OWO saying "trout" in some of the shows like the horse for one bin lady.

1. Scott gets LOADS of emails. Although most of it is Spam. If anyone needs any dodgy prescription drugs or willy enlargers I'll happily forward them on to you!

2. Certainly!

I think you should go the full hog and get a cheap sim card and get people to answer calls like off of those dodgy satellite channels. Maybe set a challenge which requires input from viewers.

Since the power cut yesterday, what has been your worst on-air disaster?

Since yesterday? Luckily none! Although I haven't been there.

Generally there haven't been too many "disasters". There've been strange episodes, like the one involving Dave Pearce and a Faithless competition (http://www.unofficialmills.co.uk/team/emlyn_q.php)

But (touch wood) things haven't gone too badly wrong.

Also, any chance of getting the Chappers and your good selfs interviews updated, along with a Becky one? This ones aimed at Jono too, as I was trawling through the site the other day and realised they're pretty dated. Just a thougt =]

We need to get Becky on there for a start! I'll have a word with her. Have a think of some questions and I'll get them answered.

Hahaha. Knowing our listeners that could get quite interesting!

Yes, if you're sat at the desk an not interacting with the people watching they can get quite arsey! Not much chance of getting much actual work done.

I seem to remember last time Scott got people to help him choose which photo to use as his official publicity shot. I presume the people who voted were winding him up as he looks quite ridiculous!

Someone just needs to organise some questions - there hasn't been substantially enough yet.

I reckon rate our team member should come back for Beccy Cam. I wouldn't be surprised if the slightly vain team members would be up for that. Just a case of sending in e-mails really as opposed to voting systems.

don't know if this has been asked before, but is there a chance of totds cam? surely it would be as good as or better than beccy cam, and it's not like we'd miss out on sound. also, is moyles not revealing you to the benefit laws by reffering to you by your actual name?

    • I suggest you follow the other DJs too if so, you will learn the hardest working will go further 🤣
    • A simple check on his instagram would answer all your questions , he’s on tour with his wife and the team behind his podcast. I suggest anyone to follow the radio presenters, you will learn a lot about their other jobs and work commitments.
    • Where is Jamie? It felt like he was settling in when Vick wasn’t on but he’s not been on since last Tuesday now. They’ve not even mentioned him, in fact they’ve mentioned Jordan more than they’ve mentioned him in the last two days.
    • Scott's show is on the road next week, live from Malmö in Sweden on Wednesday and Friday, ahead of Eurovision. As he's doing the semi final coverage on the TV on Tuesday and Thursday alongside Rylan, Gary Davies sits in for him on those days.
    • I don't feel there's so much overlap between M&M and Scott's shows. M&M is of a similar calibre to Scott & Chris on R1, with genuine laugh out loud moments and usually a show packed full of real interesting content. Scott's R2 show is IMO a shadow of the stuff he did on R1 (not his fault, he's doing exactly what station management want), with music and content to appeal to a much older audience.
    • To be fair, Scott & Chris would've still been fine on Radio 1. It was mentioned at the time that Scott's move was very much on Radio 2's part rather than Radio 1 wanting to move them on. That's the one problem that Radio 2 has, trying to appeal to such a wide demographic.. it's the perfect listen for many, but equally a turn off for many others. I think they have the balance fairly right.
    • I agree Scott has always been a good standalone presenter, but always better when with someone. When chappers left the radio one show it felt a different show and Chris joining was what it needed and brought new life. for the format of the radio 2 show Scott’s show fits well with the station but again, there’s the huge gap between radio1 and 2 As been said already old radio2 listeners feel it now feels too young with latest changes, yet old radio1 listeners still feel radio 2 feels too old. The inbetween stage demographic of too old for radio 1 but too young for radio 2 is still not catered for radio 2 was left to grow old with its audience for too long and to change things up now feels to try and change a brand image the right thing to do is leave it as it is and cater for that 1.5 demographic which I’m sure the new proposed 00s and 10s station will do if approved. Problem is it’s so overdue that by the time it gets off the ground these listeners are already likely to be lost and the changing image of radio2 likely to lose what it stands for as a brand with the “it’s too young now “  moving to boom and the “ it still sounds old “ crowd not able to move with their favourite presenters like Scott so finding themself on capital a radio 1.5 would have been perfect for Scott and Chris, seems unlikely but this is why I think who branding of bbc radio needs a rethink if these new stations get off ground
    • Bank Holiday Monday Schedule 6am-10am: Arielle Free in for Greg 10am-2pm: Dean & Vicky (No Rickie, Melvin & Charlie) 2pm-6pm: Vick & Jamie (No Katie) 6pm onwards: As normal.
    • Dare I say they've sounded great this past week?  Very much gelling.  Maybe less pressure?  Seem to be having a genuinely good time and not forcing things.
    • I'm in the minority in my workplace, most of them love country music.  Me, the American, does not care for it.  That said, I haven't haaaaaated some of the country adjacent stuff that's been on the R1 playlist.
    • The Eurovision semi finals are on from 8 to 10pm on Tuesday 7th and Thursday 9th May with Richie Anderson. That means Sara Cox in on till 8 on those days.  Saturday 11th May is Eurovision 'Super Saturday... 1-3pm Your Ultimate Abba song with Gary Davies  3-6pm Michelle Visage's Eurovision All Stars 6-8pm Eurovision Request Party with Owain Wynn Evans 8pm Eurovision Grand Final with Scott Mills and Rylan Clark
    • It is funny because everyone thought Matt was on the way out, now he's been described as the heir to Mills.
    • Some similar names to Big Weekend.  Sabrina Carpenter, David Guetta, Perrie, Bradley Simpson, Jax Jones, Caity Baser, Benson Boone, Rudimental. David Guetta is a good name.
    • Still Scott for me. I'm not too much into the 70s and 80s radio 2 play but do love the injection of 90s and 00s. Then Radio 2 push for all this country stuff and it not a UK thing, and I frankly don't like it. Scott's show as in features, hit and miss. I like the music police bit, but it feels like someone needs to join him. It's a shame Chappers is so busy with sports, as it feels like it could do with someone like him jumping on to help. Or a new partner. Radio 1, take or leave. Matt and Mollie are OK from what I've heard and share a good connection, but it's the playlist that throws me off. They could bring back Chris Moyles to do that show, but as soon as something like Headie One comes on with that casino keyboard produced crap. It would still be switched off from me.
