How can that be possible, when Katie said on the first episode of the new podcast that she got the call afterwards and was surprised because she'd heard about Jamie being announced and thought that was it? -
Katie got offered job before Jamie. They wanted to announce Katie last in case of backlash over Jamie getting it. I met Katie recently and she told me this -
Bet the bosses are cross everytime he is mentioned especially when he is sounding so great on Capital. -
Sorry! I don't really check here often - but yes i agree! I think Radio 1 back then was perfect and was amazing. I really am tempted to start a new channel filled with random BBC Radio 1/Radio 2 shows I have archived from 2007-2018! Full shows, one place 🤤 what a dream! Maybe it was just late-00's and early-10's culture then that made it even better, but I swear the music they played back then too were WAY nicer and more varied! Thank you so much for the love on 4t8 ❤️ -

Not sure the obsession from Aled with celebrities. Between him and Danny Beard he's making some odd decisions. -

I'm curious - in what context did Vick and Katie mention Jordan? Was it r.e. Arielle's wedding? -
Since Easter at the beginning of April, Vick, Katie and Jamie have been on together just 4 times. Which is crazy for a brand new, high profile Radio 1 show. Imagine Jordan being off that regularly on Capital because of ‘other commitments’ - would never happen. Jamie has only presented 6 times in the past month. Katie has presented every single show. Given how she got the job at the last minute I think very likely she would have had other commitments, which she will have cancelled/rearranged, cos being Radio 1 drive time host is a massive gig. Vick, Katie and Jamie - 4 times; Vick and Katie - 10 times; Katie and Jamie - 2 times; Katie and Lauren - 2 times. -
I see Katie (and Mairead) were out with Jordan tonight. I don’t listen to the show any longer, I am shocked they are allowed to mention Jordan.

A simple check on his instagram would answer all your questions , he’s on tour with his wife and the team behind his podcast. I suggest anyone to follow the radio presenters, you will learn a lot about their other jobs and work commitments.

Where is Jamie? It felt like he was settling in when Vick wasn’t on but he’s not been on since last Tuesday now. They’ve not even mentioned him, in fact they’ve mentioned Jordan more than they’ve mentioned him in the last two days.
