I feel really refreshed today. Spent money on clothes, had a jacket potato in the city, went to Starbucks and watched people pass by with a white café mocha, and got a taxi home. Because I wasn't waiting an hour for the next bus.

Haha nice!

I got a great book with my book voucher today - Where's Bin Laden. A book done in the style of Where's Wally.

I've been doing a bit of retail therapy today, so been busy busy.

they didn't happen to have a copy of where's the dumb hamster gone did they?

I find I'm better off staying away from the forum, every time I go away it seems to be busy. Which is how I'd like it to be. :)

Yeah but Helen, Heather and I have had to tell people off on your behalf! They are also way off topic. Anyway - not my prob, good to see new people.

I'd never try stuff on in a shop with no undies!

Was going to make a thread on this later, but how pretty is Princess Eugenie now? She looks stunning, and she's supposedly a Radio 1 listener. She might listen to Scott or even visit here ;)

Sure she's been photoshopped, but I don't think they could have done it *that* much.

Yum.

Reminds me of people who walk around towns bare feet. Not quite the same but very strange how they make this feel good about themselves.

Agreed. I dont see why folk would want to try stuff on without undies. Its disgusting.

What is Chappers insinuating. What do they do when it's all hanging out in these changing rooms?

There's an option that gets rid of adult channels on Sky. I did that, I don't want to embarrassingly end up falling on that when folks are in the room. Mum presses too many buttons, she'll probably order a porno. Lord knows what channel she ends up on.

That music idea would be great for Kerry Katona's show.

I walk around bare feet everywhere at home. Not in town as ewww. But up to the shop in our village and stuff

I do too on the beach and the promenade, and in the park sometimes.

It'd be ideal for at home when you have a remote. Nice idea for the car, but probably quite dangerous. Imagine a map in one hand, moaning girlfriend, and you trying to turn the radio up.

It clearly works, as you don't get numpties chatting to you at music gigs as you have to walk outside.

I imagine that's typically The One That Doesn't Speak's household all the time.

Speaking of asking for directions, you could do that too in the car. If you don't know where some where is, keep turning up until they disappear.

"moaning"? g'morning

I'd like the Oscar Music on my phone at work for hinting to annoying callers that they should go now.

It is typically the music you'd get at call centres when you make a complaint. Oscars learnt from them.

    • Moyles spent most of the 52hr sgow calling him that lol
    • I stand guilty as charged as the DS poster.... It was I Okay, so yes Connor has good energy and does the show well, I take it back, however, my last experience of him he spent every other link saying "It's Connor Coates in for the ledge that is Charlie Hedges" and then he started saying "Clem Douglas" - again after critisising that I see she is styled as that sometimes The point I was trying to make was, yes we know it's Charlies show, we know she is a ledge, and we know she is not here today, no need to keep reminding us Regards R1 dance, I suspect Arielle is pointed at the drivetime slot to go against Mistajam unless we know it is breakfast that will be live ? Apologies to Connor and anyone offended by my comments, was just going on my past experience of Mr Coates, who seems to be a very competnt presenter
    • "Grandad Nelson" lolllll 😂
    • I know we have discussed this before, but can someone shed some light hoping @Lily Georgia can help Since the Wogan House closure, and 1-330 from Manchester, studio 82A (Mills) has been used by Scott's R2 show, in fact i note that him and Grandad Nelson are from there now days The question I have is with 1-330 coming from London again soon, who is getting a new studio? will Scott move to one of the newer ones down the corridor or will he remain in 82A and M&M get a new studio They cannot use 82D as that is used for drive, and currenlty 82A is in use by Scott from 2-4pm In the old days it used to be 82A for Greg, Scott, Annie and 82D Adele, RMC, Drive, Jack I note that Jack is in a brand new studio so maybe M&M will come from that one as well, maybe the same one as Vine uses?
    • Maia Beth is doing Friday Early Breakfast on 7th & 14th June.
    • Joel Mitchell is in for Nat on Sunday 9th June.
    • Ore Olukoga is on 13.00-16.00 on Friday 31st May and Friday 7th June.  Nikita Kanda is doing Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd June.
    • Very pleased for producer Amy - it's no coincidence many of the best shows in recent years have had her working on them. You can tell her & Helena are a great production duo and that the whole Matt & Mollie team are a really close-knit unit in general. Some lovely speeches by both Matt & Mollie too to end the show on Sunday.
    • Echo what most have said here. Connor has great energy which is important for that sort of slot and the shame for him is that the dance line-up is so strong that there's no obvious 'in' for him to get a regular slot -Danny, Sarah, Pete Tong, Arielle, Charlie Hedges, Jerry and Charlie Tee are all great in their slots. A live show on Radio 1 Dance really feels the obvious way to get a proper foot in the door at Radio 1. Although to be fair to the DS critic I think it was just the one poster and can very much hear Connor in my head saying 'in for the legend that is Charlie Hedges'.
    • James Cusack is in for Jack on Friday 14th June, doing the chart while Jack is at Download.
    • I remember hearing Amy first on Scotts show and she was great on that, the daft quiz questions always made me smile. It's really nice to see the hard work has paid off for them all.
    • Actually the worst tends to be those who comment on Radio Today news stories. People who haven’t listened to younger oriented radio stations in years who say things like “who?” about any job going to any presenter aged younger than 50.
    • Ahhh very happy for Amy - that’s very well deserved! I didn’t hear their final show but are Matt and Mollie keeping Helena? Hopefully she might be the main producer of their new show!
    • I bet Amy and Greg are going to be fun together
    • Ah that's great for Amy. Yes I assumed she would be going back to afternoons!
