Okay guys, Scott wants to know what you thought of today, the week as a whole and the fortnight.

Thought today's banter was good.

Enjoyed Laura's Diary - different ending, if perhaps a little disappointing that no conclusion came from it! Guess that's the rubbish thing about a diary, it's not over until you die. Ooh er.

Melanie C was a good guest I thought. Enjoyed that.

Hoff Mania, another good one. Lost In Translation had me laughing. But Justin, let it all down. He blatantly wasn't up for it, but Scott did throw the right stuff at him.

Should have kept Mel C in I think.

Overall far better than the last breakfast show stint, which I thought lacked new ideas. This time it was fresh, well put together, and enjoyable on the whole.

I am however looking forward to laid back mornings and returning to not typing a reply to everything the DJ says :P

Well, Jono pretty much took the words right out of my mouth there, haha. Personally I've really enjoyed listening to Laura's Diary over the past 2 weeks but was also a little disappointed that there was no definite ending to it (although I'm assuming that Laura wasn't actually pregnant after all). The florist and American phonebook games were also highly entertaining, but Hoffmania didn't really appeal to me as much, mainly because I'm now sick to the back teeth of constantly hearing him mentioned on Radio 1. The Justin Timberlake thing today was a bit crap as well. But overall, a good 2 weeks' worth of shows. :D

So save the last dance

yeah, i'll be doing a few signings - not loads though...you should come x

Definitely do one in Nottingham, as lots of us UM members live around there!

Or if there's one in London after 16th December, that's good for me too ;)

The last ever Hoffmania (best quiz ever in my opinion) and they use the opportunity to let Chappers and The Hoff argue. Honestly boys...

Buy my book Buy my book Buy my book Buy my book Buy my book

Anyone else have boo-op-do-wop in their head? It won't go away! :-(

Very good show today! Quite emotional. End of an era with Laura's Diary and the end of Hoffmania. In my opinion there should be a weekly edition of this, daily would be too much!

Quote of the Day:

Chappers: Is it Julia Sawalha?

Caller: That'd be the name!

Brilliant.

Over all, a fantastic couple of weeks. I was loving the Melanie C references during Laura's diary. I think Laura and I should become friends (I'm not a stalker or anything)lol, and I can take her to some Melanie gigs. She would soooo love it. Omg, when Melanie turned up on the actual show yesterday I was actually shaking just like Laura. Definitely the most amazing highlight of the fortnight. Thanks Scott & Co!!! Luv ya.

    • Nothing to apologise about, I was just intrigued on how DS and UM react
    • I would be pretty confident that if they keep avoiding using James Cusack on that slot over the next few weeks, then it will probably be him that gets the show permanently!
    • That’s two names who probably won’t be doing that slot permanently then.
    • Moyles spent most of the 52hr sgow calling him that lol
    • I stand guilty as charged as the DS poster.... It was I Okay, so yes Connor has good energy and does the show well, I take it back, however, my last experience of him he spent every other link saying "It's Connor Coates in for the ledge that is Charlie Hedges" and then he started saying "Clem Douglas" - again after critisising that I see she is styled as that sometimes The point I was trying to make was, yes we know it's Charlies show, we know she is a ledge, and we know she is not here today, no need to keep reminding us Regards R1 dance, I suspect Arielle is pointed at the drivetime slot to go against Mistajam unless we know it is breakfast that will be live ? Apologies to Connor and anyone offended by my comments, was just going on my past experience of Mr Coates, who seems to be a very competnt presenter
    • I know we have discussed this before, but can someone shed some light hoping @Lily Georgia can help Since the Wogan House closure, and 1-330 from Manchester, studio 82A (Mills) has been used by Scott's R2 show, in fact i note that him and Grandad Nelson are from there now days The question I have is with 1-330 coming from London again soon, who is getting a new studio? will Scott move to one of the newer ones down the corridor or will he remain in 82A and M&M get a new studio They cannot use 82D as that is used for drive, and currenlty 82A is in use by Scott from 2-4pm In the old days it used to be 82A for Greg, Scott, Annie and 82D Adele, RMC, Drive, Jack I note that Jack is in a brand new studio so maybe M&M will come from that one as well, maybe the same one as Vine uses?
    • Maia Beth is doing Friday Early Breakfast on 7th & 14th June.
    • Joel Mitchell is in for Nat on Sunday 9th June.
    • Ore Olukoga is on 13.00-16.00 on Friday 31st May and Friday 7th June.  Nikita Kanda is doing Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd June.
    • Very pleased for producer Amy - it's no coincidence many of the best shows in recent years have had her working on them. You can tell her & Helena are a great production duo and that the whole Matt & Mollie team are a really close-knit unit in general. Some lovely speeches by both Matt & Mollie too to end the show on Sunday.
    • Echo what most have said here. Connor has great energy which is important for that sort of slot and the shame for him is that the dance line-up is so strong that there's no obvious 'in' for him to get a regular slot -Danny, Sarah, Pete Tong, Arielle, Charlie Hedges, Jerry and Charlie Tee are all great in their slots. A live show on Radio 1 Dance really feels the obvious way to get a proper foot in the door at Radio 1. Although to be fair to the DS critic I think it was just the one poster and can very much hear Connor in my head saying 'in for the legend that is Charlie Hedges'.
    • James Cusack is in for Jack on Friday 14th June, doing the chart while Jack is at Download.
    • I remember hearing Amy first on Scotts show and she was great on that, the daft quiz questions always made me smile. It's really nice to see the hard work has paid off for them all.
    • Actually the worst tends to be those who comment on Radio Today news stories. People who haven’t listened to younger oriented radio stations in years who say things like “who?” about any job going to any presenter aged younger than 50.
