What happened to Laura?? Yeah Melanie was really keen to chat to everyone. You could tell the security people weren't quite as enthusiastic and were trying to rush people through, but Melanie was a true professional and willingly stopped for photographs with every single person who wanted one. Her actual manager, Nancy, took the pictures.

Interesting debate. I don't think you can ever know someone properly unless you've met them in real life. It depends how you view "friendship" I guess. One of my best friends in the world is someone I met via a forum, but then met at gigs and now we talk on the phone almost every day and have even been on holiday together. Its like any other situation in life. Sometimes you click with certain people and sometimes you just remain aquaintances but your own perception of the friendship is not neccessarily the same as the other person's.

Thank goodness for heated front windscreens!! It's like someone has switched an actual switch with the words "bley freezing" on it. Mind you, I don't mind it being cold as long as its dry.

I went through a Radio 2 phase a few years ago (yes it was a momentary lapse brought on by the relentless garage and hip hop they used to play on Radio 1) but these days it just seems to cater for the over 50s and i don't think Russel will appeal to that audience. I personally love the guy. I find his humour refreshing. Some of my friends met him at a recording of his MTV show the other day and apparently he's really pleasant and polite in real life.

.......At the DVD signing in HMV Oxford street. It was amazing. Melanie belted out a few songs before signing hundreds of DVDs for the crowds that turned up. Didn't see Laura anywhere but the highlight of the day was me getting to meet Melanie. She was so sweet and is really tiny in actual life. Even though there were like hundreds and hundreds of people there all wanting her attention she made time for each and every one of us.

There's a thread discussing whether or not Laura is a member of the forum. Btw Laura is soooooo lucky getting her hands on "Live Hits" three days before the rest of us!!

Over all, a fantastic couple of weeks. I was loving the Melanie C references during Laura's diary. I think Laura and I should become friends (I'm not a stalker or anything)lol, and I can take her to some Melanie gigs. She would soooo love it. Omg, when Melanie turned up on the actual show yesterday I was actually shaking just like Laura. Definitely the most amazing highlight of the fortnight. Thanks Scott & Co!!! Luv ya.

What an absolutely superb "Its Only Bley Friday" it was too. A truly astounding aural experience.

I think Chappers' funniness lies in his dead pan response to the other members of the show, rather than instigating funny situations himself. Scott, on the other hand is funny on every level. His dryness, his amusing catchphrases, his gullibility and his cheeky little ways all add to the hilarity.

I'll be listening to CDs in the car on the way home from work then........

Lets face it, he's a mediocre actor who has been in some very dodgy tv programmes and made some even dodgier records but, somehow you just can't help but admire his cheesyness.

Yeh, we've got a Tesco with an upststairs. Its massive. The escalators have this special rubbery surface to stop the trolleys from slipping back down. Spoilsports!!
