I have to say, when Chappers left I didn't think the show would ever be as good. But once again I was proved wrong, just as I was after Laura left. This week was so entertaining, the podcasts were brilliant. The show is back to it's best The highlight was definitely the Scouting for Girls interview!

Any else agree?

Scott doesn't need a load of people in his show (like Chris Moyles..), he is great in his own! Though I do like Beccy and sorta miss Chappers. I never knew Laura, though they still talk about her.

I dunno, a few weeks ago I was listening when Beccy was off and Scott sounded sorta lost or something on his own, having to get other DJs to come in and do guest appearances on stuff like OWO. For me the Laura and Chappers Era will be hard to top.

They aren't dissing Scott. i still listen to him when he's on his own but i think he's more entertaining when he's got a regular team member with him so that he has someone to share banter with.

I suppose it's hard to be on your own on air when you've had people with you for so long, it must feel a bit odd. I did think I would miss Chappers more but really like Becky and Scott together.

yeah i agree, the chappers and laura years were when the show was, for me, at its peak. its still good, but nowhere near as good as it was

I think Scott has been brilliant this week. I agree with the original thread creator. The guests have been of good calibre, there's been more of a 'Moyles' feel with the exit jingles and the Wonder Years, PR4L has been back on every day, David and Tulip have provided to the chat, and the podcasts have been prompt online too with plenty of content. Scott sounds very organised with what he's talking about too. It seems as if they've made a real effort.

Oh and DJs work far better than callers on Oh What's Occurring. I prefer hearing people engaging in chat with Scott during the warm-up rather than callers talking about themselves and their Twitter.

I think it can sound awkward when Becky's not there, but at the same time he doesn't need to have loads of people like Moyles. Chappers brought something to the show but you have to move on and they've done that, listening to him now on 5live and watch him on late kick off...much better radio DJ if you ask me.

I don't think Moyles necessarily NEEDS to have loads of people there, but probably prefers it. He's done shows when Dave was off etc and seemed to cope fine.
