Actually, I believe in this. My mate (when she moved house) swore her dog was talking to someone and looking at someone at the top of the stairs.

And no, she wasn't on meow meow - she said it was making bizarre noises that were almost human.

It's a true story... The dog apparently was definitely seeing something, which my friend could not see. I mean, check the animals who know when someone is very ill, or about to die.

and it makes sense, I was working as a postie a little while back, and one route I did this little ginger tom was following me up the road, skipping through gardens to meet me at every door, miaowing most of the way. At one door at the end of the street it tried to stop the post going through and actually made a noise that sounded sorta like a drawn-out high-pitched "NNooooooooo" to this day I have no idea why, but it stopped following me there... </anecdote>

Also it kinda makes sense about the dog thing above, seeing as animals perceive the world in a totally different way to how we do etc </spoilingtherrrrrrrumble>

In some countries peoople eat them. I'm not a pet hater but come on guys.

This train of thought is dangerous...next you will be out picking up stray cats and dogs. One day the council break down your door and you are dead and the cats and dogs are living off your rotting flesh... well maybe that will happen.

They are animals, yes, but they have a sixth sense.... I often find some animals make more sense than some of the people on here.... I mean, look at Jugalug!!

And they are often far more reliable than people. They are also good for blood pressure apparently - I mean, stroking them brings it down. They're also very affectionate and loving..... more so dogs.
