I'll do this in reverse and show my age by doing it too.

Its hard to believe Radio one USED to do it but they played all 13 half hour parts of the Star Wars radio drama adaptation in the early 80s.

AND they didnt cut down the closing music which ran as long as the closing credits of the film.

I still have the final part on tape. It cuts back to Steve Wright at a road show in Stoke On Trent. I cant imagine that audience for the last half hour were listening to the rebels attack the Death Star.
