I luckily just tuned into him as the Radio 1 homepage still says Dick and Dom. He is much better than most of the weekend DJ's and arguably the weekday ones.

I'm sure he'll get a better slot eventually, just remember Scott started in the same slot as Greg.

It's nice that Greg is given some daylight every so often. It always seems to be the sunny days he's is on as well. I remember when he first did Sara (so to speak) I was listening in the sunshine. I'm sure he'll be a bit annoyed that he's stuck inside on these days!

He was good over the weekend. Am I allowed to mention the fact that Jessica Lares off of here has finally opened her Greg James fansite? It's really good, but not nearly as good as UM quite yet. Sorry Jessica.

It was great to hear Greg in the daytime instead of having to listen again. I mean - get up at 4am? And poor Greg has to get up way before that!

He's definitely up in my favourites with Scott, Moyles, Jo Whiley, Zane and Colin. That's pretty good going for someone so new.

I'm only guessing, but maybe Greg will be doing a more popular slot in the not too distant future? Hope so, anyway.

I imagine because it's not an inappropriate name as in either the person is claiming to be somebody for Radio 1, nor is it derogatory.

Bringing the thread back to its original flow, Greg is ace - shame I only catch 1/2hr in the mornings before Moyles, but he's v.good. They need to get him on after Moyles and before Mills - either slot is good.

Have they said who is covering Edith's maternity leave? That would be a good slot for him.

Ediths slot would be great for Greg to fill, I doubt the Whiley would allow it to happen to her though.

I like greg - Did not like him at first. But he definitely is good. There is only really moyles, and scott mills who I prefer.

Trouble is that the worst djs are nearly all female(edith). They are already unrepresented

It would be superb. Im only up early enough 1 day a week to catch the last 1 and half of his show but I always listen again. He has a lot of charisma... FLASH FLASH :hahaha:
