I live in London, but I never see famous people. I reckon it's because I never recognise them.

If anyone's into their Brighton and Hove Albion football, I went to school with http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_Gatting and he was in my maths class.

If anyone's into their women's cricket, I went to school with http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holly_Colvin and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clare_Connor teaches at my school.

I've also met Chris Eubank, some bird off Eastenders (I don't watch it...) and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Navnit_Dholakia so no one particularly exciting.

What was he like? He was actually my first crush (then I moved onto Lister ), so I'd love to know how nice he is in real life!

It was years ago, Iwas probably about 8, at a Maid Marian and her Merry Men thing, I can't really remember it much!

Ferry Corsten. If you listen to dance at all you probably know him. He's an electronica artist/DJ from the Netherlands and many say he influenced trance music in a big way, and some of his records are trance classics. He's currently ranked the number 8 DJ in the world by DJ Magazine. I met him last year after I saw him play at a club in Washington DC. I hugged and kissed him. Actually I'm going back there in June to see him again. I hope I meet him again. I want him to sign my CD. He's my favorite artist and my favorite DJ. I love the man to bits.

does it count if you know someone who has, someone that works with some one or lived next to and went to school with?

Wait I saw this has been once when I was at work. My mum was like look its so and so and I'm like who? Dawn French and Lenny Henry have just brought a house in the village that I go to school in. I once saw Phil from Eastenders in the Village. I have met quite a few of the Red Arrows over the years. But the year before last I met one of them and he was so fit I nearly fainted when he started talking to me, and when he left he gve me a hug and a kiss and his autograph!! does any of that count?

Charli's in love with the new Panic At The Disco album

Right thanks guys!any way does things like people I know meeting famous people and going to school with famous people count? And do The Red Arrows count?

I've met some of The Red Arrows, and they are known within the Public eye - so yeah - why not?

It ignites that chat about what it takes to be famous these days?

Today was pretty strange really, because seeing two people you know off the telly, I dont think i'd actually like to be famous. People all looking your way and trying to make eye contact etc.

Oh, did I mention Jamie Redknapp in Starbucks ?

    • https://youtu.be/A_Cycjg5_9A?si=NiLTFeiTNWBExFoR   As barmy as Sam Ryder has now gone, as shown in this video. I'd still rather it than that bland Olly Alexander record.
    • I like Scott, and I listen to Rylan's show every week... they do sound great together on Eurovision etc but.. as for a daily show together, I don't think it would work. Rylan would probably have to reign it in a bit which would lose his appeal, otherwise it may become too chaotic, in my opinion. That Saturday slot is perfect for Rylan, his rapport with Sally Traffic and Lottie is great. I suppose it comes down to cost as well and if he would want a daily show?   Radio 2 are clearly happy with Scott's show, and considering he's just won Best Entertainment Show at the ARIA's, I can't see them changing much.
    • A win for Scott which is fantastic after the last few years he's been through!
    • Am I outnumbered for not wanting to work in radio? It feels like there's a lot of geeks that want a job in the industry here.
    • Thought Sam and Danni were robbed of an award.
    • OJ Borg is in for Trevor Nelson on the Rhythm Nation tonight (with Phill Williams on overnight). He's also in for Michael Ball for the next two Sundays (12th and 19th May). Ros Atkins (BBC's Analysis editior) is in for Jeremy Vine on Thursday. Another new name to Radio 2 is Oliver Hides from BBC Radio Wales. He sat in for Owain Wynn Evans yesterday and he's in again this Thursday (9th May) and Bank Holiday Monday (27th) Spoony in for Scott Mills from Tuesday 28th till Friday 31st May.
    • Thought they would make it easier to get to this event. There's been no communication from the council or organisers about travel, even though there's talk of train strikes. Smaller councils have done a better job.
    • They do sound good together, but I'm not sure Rylan will want the extra commitments.
    • I have accepted Chris is unlikely to join Scott's show, and that Chappers has moved on, but I still think he could do with a co-host. The most logical solution, I think, is Rylan. He appears more often on his show than not, and they are great together. Radio 2 could lose Rylan's Saturday show and extend his reach by appearing during the week. I think they'd be great!
    • Tattoo took a while to grow on me. I couldn't see the fuss until weeks after. We have a split household here where the war on Gaza is overshadowing an enjoyment. I'm hoping for a protest of some sort.
    • I've heard that the staging is very impressive.  That and him being "known" might prevent an embarrassing result.  I'm a terrible judge of Eurovision though as Tattoo is still so very meh to me.
    • Feels like after the success of Sam Ryder we are going back to our old ways. Olly Alexander's song is pretty weak. Anyone fancy our chances this year?
    • The more time goes on the more you think if they'd actually put some thought into it it should've been Vick & Katie from the start. A proven pairing and Katie ended up on the show anyway - whereas Katie's even mentioned she was only asked to join after the Jamie announcement And even by Going Home standards on time off, it's quite funny that a few months in we still haven't had a full week of the supposed line-up - and that's with a 4-day week.
