BBC Radio 1 DJs Fearne Cotton and Zane Lowe are heading back on the road this autumn with the second year of BBC Radio 1's Student Tour, taking place between Monday 24 and Thursday 27 October.

The pair will be broadcasting their weekday shows live from four university towns and cities (Aberdeen, Leicester, Norwich and Hatfield, Hertfordshire), and along the way meeting up with some of the UK's biggest music acts currently on tour – Noah & the Whale, Example, Kasabian and Coldplay.

Each day in her 10am-12.45pm show, Fearne will be immersing herself in student life and inviting one of the music acts to perform a very special Radio 1 Live Lounge ahead of their evening concerts in the area. The shows will also feature an audience of local students and will be filmed for live broadcast on bbc.co.uk/radio1.

The music continues in the evening (between 7-9pm), when Zane Lowe joins the artists on tour with live sets and interviews from each of the acts headline gigs plus their supports including Ben Howard and Flux Pavilion.

Fearne Cotton says: "After last year's student tour I'm so looking forward to our second adventure. Hitting up four different unis again with huge bands and artists is so exciting. I'm looking forward to meeting the students of each uni and bringing them some great music. Having an on air alliance with Zane's show is gonna be a lot of fun again too as we had such a laugh last time! Students get ready, we are on our way!"

Zane Lowe says: "Last year's student tour was one of the highlights of my year and I'm excited to get back out on the road. On my radio show we thrive on the opportunity to broadcast great bands and this year's line-up will give us the chance to showcase some of the most incredible artists around right now."

In that case, neither of you should ever listen to Radiohead... they're awesome, don't get me wrong, but some of their stuff makes Coldplay seem as cheery as S Club 7.

I love some of Radiohead's stuff! No Surprises and Creep are my favourites. I do like some of Coldplays songs tbh, and that Paradise one is alright.

The above will be at the Univ. of East Anglia on 27th October 2011 !!

Lucky students !!!! woo hoo

True actually! i once rented a cd of their's from the library, and, apart from one song, it was all doom and gloom.

Make up your mind.

I was actually wondering what the poor students at UEA had done to deserve this.
