FORMER England cricketer Dominic Cork has signed up for Dancing on Ice - the only sportsman to don skates in the new series.

Cork, 39, who still plays for Hampshire, is confirmed for the new run of the hit ITV1 show next month.

And he's hoping to carry on in the tradition of sports stars doing well on dancing reality shows.

He could even follow in the tracks of rugby player Kyran Bracken, who won Dancing on Ice in 2007.

Dominic, right, will be joined on the show by Dave Vitty, 36, who is Radio 1 breakfast DJ Chris Moyles' sidekick Comedy Dave.

The pair complete the line-up of 16 stars.

TV Biz revealed on Wednesday that soccer hero Frank Lampard's ex Elen Rivas, 34, and former Neighbours hunk Craig McLachlan, 45, were also on board.

Others include presenter Jeff Brazier, 31, Victoria Cross hero Johnson Beharry and former guest Dancing on Ice judge Angela Rippon, 66.

Former EastEnders actor Sam Attwater, 24, who played Leon Small, ex-Hollyoaks actress Jennifer Metcalfe, 27, and Loose Women host Denise Welch, 52, are also in the line-up.

They will be joined by TV pair Richard and Judy's daughter Chloe Madeley, 23, kids' TV host Laura Hamilton and actress Nadia Sawalha, 46.

The show is being be relocated to a larger studio set this year.

It will also be shown in high definition for the first time. An insider said: "Bosses think viewers will really love the diverse stars taking part."

The series starts on January 9.

ITV1's Dancing on Ice 2011 line-up revealed

Kerry Katona, ex-newsreader Angela Rippon and rapper Vanilla Ice are among the celebrities set to take part in the next series of ITV1's Dancing on Ice.

Actor Steven Arnold, whose Coronation Street character Ashley Peacock was recently killed off, is also among the 16 stars hoping to compete.

Although 16 prepared for the show, only 12 will reach the competition stage.

The series will begin with two shows on 9 and 16 January in which four hopefuls will be axed after votes from viewers.

Victoria Cross hero Lance Corporal Johnson Beharry, the first contestant from outside the worlds of sport and showbiz, is also in training to compete.

Soap actors are well represented in the line-up.

Ex-Coronation Street actress Denise Welch, former EastEnders star Sam Attwater, Australian Craig McLachlan - best known for his role in Neighbours - and Hollyoaks actress Jennifer Metcalfe are all set to appear in the show.

Cricketer Dominic Cork, BBC Radio 1's David Vitty - better known as Chris Moyles's sidekick Comedy Dave - and Chloe Madeley, daughter of Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan, are also in the running.

Nickelodeon presenter Laura Hamilton, Chelsea footballer Frank Lampard's ex-girlfriend Ellen Rives and actress Nadia Sawalha complete the line-up.

Spice Girl Emma Bunton and choreographer Jason Gardiner will remain on the judging panel, along with former figure skater Robin Cousins, who is head judge.

The voting panel has been reduced from four to three after a decision was taken not to replace former judge Nicky Slater, who announced he was leaving the show last month.

The fees that the celebrities competing in Dancing on Ice will earn have reportedly been revealed.

According to the News of the World, Kerry Katona is the highest earning celebrity on this year's show, being paid £60,000. Trailing her are Loose Women star Denise Welch and Coronation Street actor Steven Arnold, who will each receive £50,000.

A source said: "Kerry and Denise are our best signings for a long time. They are brilliant, outspoken characters. But Dancing On Ice is a huge commitment and Kerry, Denise and Steven all wanted top money."

Most of the remaining contestants, including Chloe Madeley, ex-newsreader Angela Rippon and rapper Vanilla Ice, will earn £40,000.

Meanwhile, EastEnders star Sam Attwater, Nickelodeon presenter Laura Hamilton, and "Comedy Dave" Vitty from Chris Moyles' Radio 1 show will each receive the lowest payment of £20,000.

Oh noes, the thought that some of them will earn JUST £20K breaks my heart...

Seriously though, some sort of clue as to who ITV will want(/try and fix it for) to win? I do think that if they're really that interested, the 'top' signings would take equal money to the likes of Comedy Dave and the ones I've never heard of.

Well.... he looks..... er..

I'm interested to see how other areas of the media are going to approach this. For example, Real Radio have been speaking alot about Dancing on Ice but have so far not mentioned Dave doing it. But eventually he could be voted off or even maybe win, and then their Entertainment news probably will mention it... but how will they do it, because they can't say he's from Radio 1 or 'Chris Moyles's Sidekick' (Other radio stations bosses tend not to like that). Is he gonna be classed as a 'radio personality' or something?
