26th-29th shows maybe run 06.00-10.00, 10.00-14.00 and 14.00-18.00 as they have done in the past.  Prob Anthems?  James Cusack to feature.
30th-1st shows maybe run 08.00-12.00, 12.00-16.00.  31st Charlie Tee 22.00-01.00 ???  1st R1 Happy or R1 Relax all day?
2nd-4th RMC, Dean & Vicky or V&J off, with daytime shows lengthened to fill the gap, maybe 07.00-11.00, 11.00-15.00, 15.00-18.00.

I reckon if Jack is on air over Christmas he will be on daytime duties.
Also if Katie is on-air I'd say she will be paired with Jordan on breakfast.
Nat O'Leary is a good bet to be on-air quite a bit.

Yeah James is getting lots of air time with different shows. He was great both paired with Mollie for the weekend and the other Friday by himself. He's on the chart in for Jack this week, heard Vick mention him on Sundays first look show.

Yep totally agree and used to love predicting christmas line ups years ago. Would love to hear more of the likes of Ore,James,Nat and Sam and Danni over the festive period

I think Jordan doing Christmas Day is a certain. Him doing Christmas limbo week seems a bit of a waste though as take him off elsewhere in the year. I’d imagine because of the dates Greg will have 2 weeks off (first week of Jan is my bet) so Matt/Jordan should get that week.
Christmas limbo week should be the likes of Arielle in daylight,  Sam & Danni, Ore and Nat 

This would be a strong Christmas lineup for 2 key shows on the schedule and the country does seem to get back to some kind of normality from the 27th through till NYE.

I know why things were as they were but I have found Christmas a time I tune away from Radio 1 as the anthems shows just become very tedious.  So with more experienced presenters on, hopefully the station can sound more normal.  But I wouldn't guarantee that.

Seems inevitable that once Greg goes, it will either be Jordan & Mollie on breakfast with Vick & Katie on drive or else Jordan & Katie on breakfast with Vick & Jamie on drive. Think the second option would make more sense. I really like Mollie but think a lot of that's down to how good her and Matt are together. Also, she's not exactly the future of the station and it seems a risk to put an unfamiliar duo on breakfast full time. The shows with Jordan this week have been solid but sound a bit forced. Jordan and Katie are so brilliant together and have a genuine friendship so they seem like the obvious choice but who knows.....

We can agree to disagree, I love mollie and matt. I think they should have been the natural successors to Scott. When they do breakfast it’s the best because they bring a different dynamic, it’s innuendos, it’s trivia, it’s interactive and more relatable. Maybe a north south divide as to what constitutes entertainment. 
 
I think Jordan will be the next breakfast host with Mollie. Vick won’t want to do it and nor will Katie move down. 

Scott’s back with a weekly podcast, imagine if Chris Stark joined him on it. ?

The popularity of R1 Anthems/ Radio 1 00's among U-35's is mildly depressing, like they've already taken to saying, "Things were better in my day" ......

I feel the same, Jordan and Katie was a brilliant listen. It'll be hard to beat that

It is all very exciting. I always feel predicting the schedules is like our version of Fantasy Football LOL. Aled we know what your doing ?

And that's the thing about co-hosting - some people need a co-host to be interesting and others simply go beyond how great they already are - I think this is true of Scott and Jordan. Jordan's last solo chart cover - the day where he basically broke the chart - showed just how much he doesn't NEED a co-host but yet the week on breakfast with Katie showed how a co-host allows him to do stuff he just couldn't solo.

Many of the presenters are perfectly good on their own - Jordan a clear example.  Though Jordan's style lends itself to having somebody to bounce off.

What I find interesting is Greg James is the only presenter on daytime who hasn’t got a co-presenter. It shows how good he is.
