Here's something to throw out there. My friend Katrina cannot watch TV if there is an element of suspense to it. She has Wikipediaed all of Glee because she doesn't like watching something she doesn't know what will happen. She has to research soaps and movies too. Is that normal? She says the X Factor results show is a nightmare. Is it just her who doesn't like suprises and twists. Same in real life. You have to tell her she's having a party.

it's not normal but its not just her. my sister does it and taunts me by saying she knows what happens every time something is on.

Yeah. It's like the X Factor finals might be a live show but she hates the idea of Dermot doing the results live with however many minutes of suspense he adds in so she records it.

<o></o>

And once Joe had been announced as a winner either online or somewhere else and she’s found that out she then she'll watch the whole programme.

Oh it is normal, I do the same. I record the show and the result show then I watch the last few minutes of the result show first so I know the result and then watch the rest of the programme. I also read the last chapter of a book first, just so I know how it all turns out. If there is something sad to watch then I watch it in installments so as not to get too upset. So in Nikki's world it's perfectly acceptable.

Well I don't think I've done that before. She can't watch any of Eastenders because she doesn't know who killed Archie either.

I'll never forget the X Factor version of this. Thank goodness they went from doing live group efforts to some sort of recorded attempt.

I still have nightmares about that!.

It made Jedward look good, ironically.

Hmmm at Greg. So much for making the unmissable unmissable or whatever the iPlayer slogan is.

Beccy tweeted earlier Jeremy Kyle's guests were getting weirder. I wondered whether she was skiving or on holiday.

A new Rihanna record? I stopped caring when they stopped getting good! :(

That was you? 'Nuff said.

I hope there's not another Rob in Derby who would send a message like it. I didn't put it so graphically!

Can someone clip it for me pleeeeease?

What do you think of the Diamonds, Rob in Derby?

To be fair, in my text I didn't say she would get it. Not saying she wouldn't...

    • Since Radio 1 Dance and Anthems have been allowed to broadcast on DAB, do we think they’ll be a proper schedule of shows like on Radio 1 Dance with the morning show and Dance Anthems at drive time. Maybe Lauren Redfern, Tyler Selby, Chrissy Cameron or Matt Hallsworth will be scheduled on named shows like Hits Radio 00s or Capital Anthems rather than the generic ‘Radio 1 Anthems’ show. Obviously it would probably cost more to produce actual shows on the station however.
    • There's been a lot of positive reaction to the Mylo and Rosie news so am interested now to hear what their shows are like. And yep wouldn't be surprised if they stay on beyond July as cover ever so often. And that Friday-Sunday news was hidden in the small print a little. It presumably means we lose Party Anthems all that month as that is what has happened this year with Big Weekend, Glasto for example. I certainly I hope it isn't Party Anthems being quietly axed full stop - it and Future Pop are 2 real hidden gems on Radio 1.
    • I’m pleased for Mylo and Rosie, they were highly thought of in our local area and definitely worthy of that slot
    • I’m thinking the same redding and Leeds etc
    • -Considering how little Jamie has appeared since Vick went off on maternity, it probably would've been more sensible to have Sam & Danni taking over from that point and have him return with Katie. - Mylo and Rosie are apparently very good and one of the more popular local presenters who lost their slot when Hits went fully national. I gather they are very popular in Yorkshire. I can see them definitely see them popping up again beyond this stint. -Life Hacks cover is yet another good opportunity for some new voices (I know Yinka has popped up in the past). I have enjoyed Pete Allison covering though. I'm assuming most of August's Friday to Sunday 1-4pm will be made up of festival coverage.
    • - Jamie Laing will take a break from Going Home from 28th July. Sam and Danni will cover. - Greg James will host his show until 11am from 21st July (Monday to Thursday only). - Mylo and Rosie, who previously hosted Hits Radio Breakfast in West Yorkshire, will host Friday EB in July. - Charley Marlowe of TikTok fame will host Friday EB in August. - Tskenya Frazer will host Life Hacks with Lauren Layfield in July, whilst Yinka Bikinni will host with Lauren in August. - Jamie Laing and Katie Thistleton will return to Going Home in September.
    • @eddemundo Thank you 👏🏼 👏🏼 That took some listening on Sounds to get that
