On a serious note it amazes me that you can have a go at people for having an unfair opinion after the childish way you went about critisising Dick and Dom. I think Edith sounds like a lovely person, but in my opinion her show is average at best and she isn't good enough for the time slot she occupys on the radio station she works at. But if I more often critisise you on here than Edith, as Jono says the way you think she is vastly superior to other DJ's is hillarious.

I never said I disliked Edith!

I just said I better not mention anything against her. I think she is fine and has a nice voice. Perhaps not as good as she was before she took the big break (think it was pregnancy - can't remember) a while ago.

If they have made the advert they should show it

but perhaps internal politics are playing a part, if it features Sara as a central character it might be seen as inapropriate to show it...when she only does one show a week.

If you listen to Sara in this week covering Jo, I think it sounds like Sara would like a daytime show.... but then who would she replace?

I love the adverts Radio 1 put on and during the summer is always a significant time of year to show the advert. I feel the spirit of Radio 1 is lost if something like this isn't shown. We all know the station doesn't do things cheaply but it always has done. It's Radio 1 and its at the top of the radio game.

It's a large price to pay and it sounds like lessons will be learnt. However, it makes more sense to put money into something long lasting like Radio 1 than a storyline in Eastenders like recent trail.

One side note - last year Radio 1 showed non-stop the three minute videos of the specialist DJs between acts at the Big Weekend. Could this advert appear there?
