Producer Amy moving to Radio 1 Breakfast

JK and Joel have confirmed their last ever show for radioone will be the chart show on sunday september 30 (last early breakfast show on thursday september 27).They made a joke this morning on air about kidnapping and shooting the radio one controller so they may not last till september 30...

Actually, I will be catching their final early breakfast week. I'm working at BBC Radio Norfolk that week, so for once will need to be up very early. Definitely one to stick a tape in for.

I was half asleep when I was listening this morning, but I thought they said they might not make it "to the end of the month" rather than saying a specific date, which could mean they were staying a little longer than 30th september, and were simply speaking in general terms. To me, it would make more sense if they stick around until the new schedule is introduced.

I think Greg James is doing some extra dates, so he might be filling in for them. But that wouldn't make much sense, as I'm sure he would be kept away from early breakfast until he starts his proper show, but you never know. From the way they spoke this morning I think they'll be off at the end of the month.

Yeah, I would have thought that they'd do some sort of "big launch" of the new schedule, rather than gradually introducing it.

i've never really warmed to jk & joel to be honest... dont know why? maybe its because they fill in for mills and i like listening to mills so was always disappointed when i heard their voices instead of scotts? who knows!

i wish them luck though in whatever they do!

I've looked at the schedule and notice that Greg is on this Sunday 7 - 10am!!! Could be a warm up for when he takes over, although he has done the early breakfast before.

I'm feeling a wee bit :eek: that JK&Joel are leaving, as love listening to their banter with each other etc, but will still listen to Greg.

See that's what I don't understand, Fearne and Reggie are the new Colin and Edith, it's either one of them, or neither. They're not proving much when they're swanning off to TV commitments.
