I can make my eyes do that, I tend to do when I'm bored at work and making eye contact with the girl behind the kiosk.

We used to do something like that with coat hangers in the drama department when we had a costume on. Nothing that big though!

The Aled blog is funny. Good morning at the bloke in the pants. Gayer than a window that video!

I've never had any enthusiasm to watch the six weeks of summer videos.

Urgh, it's Eve again. Come back when you fail love!

I loved it when they were like "so Dom, did you get anything like that in Sheringham?" Dom: "No, the only thing you see there is crabs in rock pools..."

Random, the first song I played this morning was this Scissor Sisters track as I hadn't heard it in a while.

Moyles was on about his New York trip, and he said over there it was just some track featuring the Stand By Me sample that was constantly being played. 'Anyone know the one, Radio 1's playing it'. No one had a clue it was the suicidal song.

Does any one watch the shopping channels when they're tired at night? I was watching QVC for several hours on saturday night, about midnight. Didn't really care much about the plasma TV they were selling, but it was some what relaxing...

Foo Fighters better not be the record of the week.

This is pretty much Foo Fighters-by-numbers but it's not bad, I can see it growing on me.

Anyone heard the new Chemical Brothers song? I heard Sara Cox playing it this morning, it's slightly bonkers but I really like it.

So save the last dance

For me my love 'cause I

I see you as an angel freshly fallen from the sky...

qvc on a saturday night! i can only dream of that!!

You knows it. Well let's be honest, what was there, Dance X, some crap movie on Channel 4. And I won't even describe the pap on ITV. Late at night it's usually a good alternative to the bint of the quiz channels.

Wish the Record of the Week was something other than the track Jo Whiley was playing the week before! I quite liked that Greg James had Maximo Park as his Weekend Anthem, it was a bit of a random choice.

Woop woop, my friend is coming over from Malaysia next week. Time to teach her about new music, the government filters out stuff like Biffy Clyro, so she has no idea about the music I talk about.

I think singing the Radio 1 jingles is seriously underrated. But let's not give her any ideas, people start singing jingles under her news and she'll want it as part of her diva demands.

She's becoming the diva of Newsbeat. Now Dom does his holidays to Norfolk, it's only her and Tulip left.

Ah I'm with Mills on this. Electrons... what are they all about. My bank gave my sister a proper Visa Delta card the other week and she's 2 years younger than me. Favouritism!

The Malaysian government filters out Biffy Clyro...?

Yeah. I was saying how good the Umbrella cover is, because they're all big on Rihanna, and she's like "I still have no idea who this Biffy thing is".

I spent most of last summer trying to get her to listen to the Automatic and the Fratellis as she'd never heard of them either.

    • OJ Borg is in for Trevor Nelson on the Rhythm Nation tonight (with Phill Williams on overnight). He's also in for Michael Ball for the next two Sundays (12th and 19th May). Ros Atkins (BBC's Analysis editior) is in for Jeremy Vine on Thursday. Another new name to Radio 2 is Oliver Hides from BBC Radio Wales. He sat in for Owain Wynn Evans yesterday and he's in again this Thursday (9th May) and Bank Holiday Monday (27th)
    • Thought they would make it easier to get to this event. There's been no communication from the council or organisers about travel, even though there's talk of train strikes. Smaller councils have done a better job.
    • They do sound good together, but I'm not sure Rylan will want the extra commitments.
    • I have accepted Chris is unlikely to join Scott's show, and that Chappers has moved on, but I still think he could do with a co-host. The most logical solution, I think, is Rylan. He appears more often on his show than not, and they are great together. Radio 2 could lose Rylan's Saturday show and extend his reach by appearing during the week. I think they'd be great!
    • Tattoo took a while to grow on me. I couldn't see the fuss until weeks after. We have a split household here where the war on Gaza is overshadowing an enjoyment. I'm hoping for a protest of some sort.
    • I've heard that the staging is very impressive.  That and him being "known" might prevent an embarrassing result.  I'm a terrible judge of Eurovision though as Tattoo is still so very meh to me.
    • Feels like after the success of Sam Ryder we are going back to our old ways. Olly Alexander's song is pretty weak. Anyone fancy our chances this year?
    • The more time goes on the more you think if they'd actually put some thought into it it should've been Vick & Katie from the start. A proven pairing and Katie ended up on the show anyway - whereas Katie's even mentioned she was only asked to join after the Jamie announcement And even by Going Home standards on time off, it's quite funny that a few months in we still haven't had a full week of the supposed line-up - and that's with a 4-day week.
    • I heard something about what is your favourite wood? Wtf 😂
    • Was the same vibe on the Easter Monday show they did too. Just random questions and the like…. Katie is definitely the glue around making the show listenable.
    • Vick and Jamie together are quite… awkward. Random discussion seems to be at an all time high without Katie. Maybe it’s just that there’s a lack of features today.
    • Jamie not even knowing about the big weekend day and the fact he starts the show at 14:00 just says everything.
    • I still haven’t forgiven Radio 1 for signing Laing. Vick and Jordan was good, you could hear the chemistry on air
    • I just want to add though that I am beginning to enjoy the show a bit more now that it’s settled in - I think Jamie (when he’s there) has calmed down a bit and then the new features that have been progressively added over the last couple of weeks have been good too.    I still don’t think it’s a patch on Vick and Jordan together, but it is now a show that seems like it could have legs into the future and once Matt and Mollie start in July, I could see myself sticking with R1 all afternoon.
    • I think it’s a slimmer line-up and seems to fall short in previous years where it seemed almost double that I know Raye is booked to perform and is a headline name. I think the issue with a station like capital they are dealing with a rather lacklustre year for pop and theres no real big pulls for pop festivals that are an easy sell out right now. I think Capital has had seen it’s Capital Ball’s as for any generic pop music listener I don’t know whether Bradley Simpson, Aitch and Paul Russel have the universality to play in a stadium even Sugababes think it would be better if they chosen a smaller outdoor location or Wembley arena.
