Did anyone hear Lauren this morning and what did you think?

I was pleasantly surprised by Dean. I found Lauren Layfield full of herself, phrases like, "I once won a bafta but enough about me" and "some of you may know my name" made me cringe. That old style of Radio 1 with egos is long gone. Some technical mistakes which you can forgive but not with an ego.

Hopefully she tones it down when paired with katie.

First impressions of Lauren weren't as good as expected. It's like she's decided she's too good for early breakfast.

I think she did early breakfast on capital

Thought once Lauren had passed the giddiness at the start of the show, she did well with Katie on Life Hacks.

She sounded better on there than she did on early breakfast. Blank shows like that can really expose presenters for having no content. The song alarm bit was a bit old hat and the kind of thing you could perhaps get away with on capital but not radio 1 where you're meant to be entertaining.
