FISH HEADS INTERVIEW

I made the massive journey this evening to the land of Manchester to visit the one and only Mr. Fish Heads. I was welcomed into the Fish Heads lair by a mysterious lady who on closer inspection I realised it was in fact jenay from hit Australian soap neighbours. Wow fish heads lives with a celebrity I just live with a mobile phone charger and a set of crayola crayons.

Hello Fish Heads. I had a wonderful flight to Manchester on my magic carpet and I saw lots of great sights such as trees and roads. What is the meaning of life?

Tricky one that. I think that the answer to that is in fact "Death", because the only thing that is certain in life is death.

What did you or are you going to have for dinner today?

I had one of those Heinz microwaveable tomato soups. It wasn't as good as I expected, the chicken one I had the other day was much more tasty

What time did you go to bed last night?

12:30am. Earliest since I've been at uni. Didn't even go out.

How did you get your wacky username?

When I signed up to Moylesworld, it was to orignally to request a clip, so I thought I'd have a Moyles related username. I signed up when Chris was playing that annoying "Fish Heads, Fish Heads, Rolly, Polly Fish Heads" song at every oppertunity, so I thought that was as unique as any.

If you met Scott Mills what would you say to him?

"Hi Scott, I love the show. What do you REALLY think of Unofficial mills"

If you met Downcount what would you say to him?

This is a family forum, so I couldn't possible put what I would actually say, due to the mass swear word content.

Do you like flip flops?

I think it's quite attractive as a footware for females, but I wouldn't buy a pair for myself.

Have you ever stayed up all night thinking about plants?

Not yet. I have stayed up all night thinking about pants though

When was the last holiday you had?

I went to Belgium last year. It was ok, but too many foreigns about.

Did it take a lot of thought to come up with your username? Are you embarrassed of your real life name, is it something like Chris Peacock?

It did take a while to think of, but not too long. I'm not embarresed of my real life name (which is also Chris by the way), it's just I don't think using real life names is always appropriate on messageboards. At least full names anyway

What is your real age?

19. 20 in november. Don't forget to set up a secret forum to send me messages Jono

Have you ever made the blunder of eating a chocolate bar then having a savoury food item?

Once, I had a Caramac Breakaway followed by a ginsters cheese and bacon slice

If the answer to the above question is yes, how foolish did you feel after?

On a scale of 1-10, 1 being not at all foolish and 10 being the foolshist anyone has ever felt, I would say a 9.4

Did it spoil your dinner?

Yes, as my mum had made me a Ginsters sausage roll and white chocolate kit kat that day

You spend a lot of time on two major radio 1 fansites - you must feel like you've achieved a lot in your life?

No doubt about it. If there is one thing perspective employers want to have, it's commitment and nothing says that than an almost 2000 post count over 2 fan sites. Obviously I'm aiming for something a bit more in the next few years as i climb up the employment ladder

What does it feel like to be under the power of Jono?

Jono is a good ruler, but he needs to get some of the subjects in his kingdom sorted out. There are a lot worse places on the web though, which i suppose is a backhanded compliment

Do you think Jono is secretly a 78 year old woman?

I was thinking more 77 and a half, but yeah.

A mystery person *ahem Jono* told me that you once rode a unicycle all the way from Bradford to Jonos mystery lair in Norfolk wearing nothing but a four leaf clover to cover your modesty, why?

Because both my bike and all my clothes were broken that day, and I needed to see Jono to deliver some top secret Mills documents.

Do you like Bacon?

Of course I do

If you were the Prime Minister what laws would you bring in?

I would abolish the laughing cow and the word lol

How many times a day do you use the word mattress?

7 on average, but slightly less on a thursday

Does the Jenay look-alike like magical bulls?

I haven't brought that up yet, but she has expressed a fondness for enchanted camels.

Would you ever wear just a thong and parade around Truro city centre for £2.96?

Depends if I had to supply my own thong

If you could be anywhere in the world where would you be?

Australia I think

Who would be your perfect lady?

Sky off Neighbours. She's such a spiggin' hottie

What are you planning to do with your life after you finish your university education?

I'm thinking of going into Journalism. So I could well be reviewing Scott in "Radio Monthly". Or not...

Well that is all young man, thank you for answering the questions. Goodnight.

RRROOOAAARRR!!!!

    • Nikita Kanda is covering the weekend mid afternoon slot a few times over the next few weeks, as is Ore.
    • No sign of James Cusack at Big Weekend. Ore Olukoga and Nikita Kanda were there. Will they be part of the weekend line-up over summer? Even Joel Mitchell and Tinea Taylor made it.
    • I don't know about that but somebody's messed up with the dates on the lanyards this year, they're all the wrong date!
    • Is big weekend the only place to get long boi merch? It's sold out! I'd love to have got my hands on some.
    • Considering the price of some festival event for a small portions can be pricey but it isn’t too bad that could get it with chips and other roast dinner bits. I think when you are billed as a touring high profile DJ there’s always a risk of playing out familiar tracks from other artists in the mix. Especially on a line-up with Chase and Status and Rudimental who will be playing pretty much all tracks written, produced and released as their DJing names.
    • Matt & Mollie I believe (and on the radio occassional studio bits from Jack Saunders, Sam & Danni and Maia Beth).
    • Obvs - Scott 2-4 and Trevor Nelson are also in 82A
    • Who presented Party Anthems on stage?
    • Lots of adverts for Matt and Mollie around the place, alongside the rest of the weekday lineup, but no mention of Dean and/or Vicky. Although I notice those two are doing the photobooth today, as is Danny Beard…
    • Yesterday was excellent pretty much all day. You can tell a lot of work has gone into the festival and the set up was really good. The ground is fine for anyone worried, I wore old trainers and they’re still fine today.    Merchandise is available for some high prices. If you’re going for Longboi merch get it early as they sold out within the first couple of hours.    The photo booth is also good and we met Vick, Katie and Jamie for a few seconds and got a photo. If you’re doing this get there 15-20 minutes before the advertised time as they’re only 30 minute slots. It’s right next to the main stage so you can see everything going on there from the queue anyway. Most of the acts we saw were excellent. Becky Hill and Ella Henderson were brilliant live. Rudimental and Chase and Status were absolutely incredible. Nathan Dawe wasn’t great, played 3 of his own songs then dodgy remixes of Marvin Gaye, Dolly Parton etc. Went to Dimension halfway through which was must better. Saw 15-20 minutes of Eric Prydz which wasn’t really my thing but his staging was excellent.  The DJ sets in between everything were pretty good, especially Matt and Mollie and Charlie Hedges. Sam and Danni were a welcome change as they played indie anthems for a while although I think they may have just been the pre recorded anthems they usually play on weekends (still better than Nathan Dawe). Food was good, but pricey - £15 for my main meal of roast pork, stuffing, chips and Yorkshire pudding. I was surprised they were selling multipacks of Madri and bottles of wine, especially the latter as people were walking around swigging from glass bottles in the middle of the crowd then dumping them on the floor… the rubbish was a mess at the end of the night. Probably one of the best live music events I’ve ever been to, a real credit to the station.
    • While there were some technical issues (tracks temporarily cutting out, mics not working at first for radio listeners, 'studio team' sometimes jumping in at quite random intervals) Party Anthems on stage seemed to work well and I sort of wonder why they haven't done it before. I guess it depends on when gates open but if gates open around 1/2pm then no excuse not to do it- it's a DJ set which they have loads of across the weekend and acts as a warm-up so the crowd are hot for the first main act.
    • They mentioned on air that it's before Joel Corry's set.
    • When is the set for Greg and Tom? I’m having trouble getting on to Insta and Google is not helping.
