what aload of old cack,i thought it was gonna be summat really intresting,and that bloke paul was in onit all along,what a con artist! and what a waste of peoples time,who really wernt botherd about going the big weekend anyway! lol..im gutted i thought it was gonna be summat exciting! buggary buggar!

We all knew Paul was in on it and that it was a game a long time ago :).

Some people on here did want to go - they didn't get tickets though - not yet anyway. You could go and checkout the Perplex City stuff, you might find that exciting...also people hunting around for the FIA symbol at the big weekend could be a lot of fun, it sounds fun to me anyway.

Glacier was in there quick - so I would be suprised if you dont win. Maybe there is just a delay in sending the emails out. Maybe they are having to work out how many tickets they actually have left :P

I'd have thought amongst 35000 the odd one or two either way wouldn't make too much difference :D

We've seen it - some "signal" due to go out around 11.45 tomorrow - no clue what to do about it though.

Apparently, Jimmy says, it's something backwards - so maybe some music backwards?

People who get passes to the festival are supposed to look for FIA symbols? The backstory of this game is very odd. Aliens, cubes, neural overrides??

The thing is to a lot of us it isn't back story, it is just part of the game we've already "played" (if its possible to play an ARG), and for the FIA thing you really don't need to know alot of the back story, the idea is that it is a way to introduce more people to the Perplex City thing and hopefully some people will stick around.

I don’t feel as if I’m being included in a game, more like manipulated as a puppet. Which I don’t mind if it helps publicise UM and the Radio 1 bw. Would have been nice to have had a genuine chance of winning passes, but I’ve added a couple of nice people on msn through this, so good has come of it!

Have texted, hope FIA is coming up on the text cloud on Radio 1’s website – can’t look as I’m working at the moment – also can’t listen to the radio which is a real shame.

Looking forward to reading about what happens on this thread :)

      I suspect they’re gonna tie the announcement into something, or they’ve changed plans. I know we’ve said it as a joke but I wonder if Aled was planning on giving it to someone like Danny Beard, but he’s decided against that after the last few weeks. Seems clear to me, though, that if Jordan hadn’t left, then Katie would’ve taken Dean and Vicky’s slot and Matt and Mollie would’ve stayed on weekends, which probably explains why they haven’t picked a replacement yet. If it was going to be the obvious choice, I.e. James Cusack, surely they would’ve announced it by now..?

      Yep think they mentioned that this is their penultimate weekend of shows but then they will also be on air during Big Weekend and they mentioned they'll be doing 'Party Anthems' on stage during Big Weekend which sounds intriguing. Will miss Matt & Mollie on weekends - they in particular have made that Friday afternoon slot their own - but they'll be great on weekdays. Do wonder if 'Summer on Radio 1' is just a placeholder name until they decide on who will cover the interim. While it's obviously not the case it does feel like they've forgotten there's that weekend afternoon slot to fill given no permenant presenter has been announced for it yet.

      I think more likely it'll just be a temp presenter for weekends 1-4 to give Matt & Mollie time off, plus time to plan and pilot the new show.

      Yeah I don’t think they’ll be anything that drastic - maybe a week or 2 of cover on early breakfast etc, but maybe just having that weekend afternoon slot covered over the summer means they can put someone on from September who maybe isn’t available until then?

      I wouldn't be surprised if they do this around June time: 05.00 Ore Olukoga 07.00 Greg James 10.30 RMC 14.00 VKJ  That'll probably happen (for my guess) from the 17th June.       The Summer on Radio 1 thing makes me wonder whether they might be doing something similar to last year again where they have a temporary schedule over the summer before introducing changes in September - maybe the new host won’t start until after the summer?
