Greetings from Austin, Texas!

I come from Northern Ireland (Norn Iron) but Ive been living in the states a few years!

I have downloaded the podcasts everyday (that they are available) for about 3 years and listen online on Sirius.com and Sirius Satellite Radio.

I actually paid to have satellite radio in my car so i could drive to work, listening to Moyles and drive home listening to Mills!

I have been introducing fellow Austinites to to classic Mils moments like the Pizza shop guy, Buckfast boy, etc. My mates near wet themselves at the podcast about the supermarket trollys and the noise that stops them.

Scott Mill is sadly the highlight of my day lol!

  • 2 weeks later...

Just joined the forums and thought I'd better say "hi"!

I found the Scott Mills podcast in iTunes earlier this year and have been hooked since the beginning. Hilarious stuff.

I occasionally catch the show "live" (delayed but at normal running time) on my wife's Sirius satellite radio.

I very recently found the UnofficialMills.co.uk site and browsed through the forums a bit, but figured I'd better officially join unofficiallymills. So there you go.

Keep up the great work Scott, Chappers and Becky (oh, and the one who doesn't speak) and keep up the great site UnofficialMills!

Hi all :>

I'm from Sydney, started listening to Scott's daily podcast 2 weeks ago in an attempt to procrastinate from a major essay (which I still managed to finish, thankfully). Heard about him from the Moyles' breakfast show and I've been hooked ever since! Some times I catch him on the BBC iPlayer, but my bandwidth allowance isn't as generous as I had wished it to be :(

Slightly gutted about not being able to fully take part in the ScottCam experience (I guess the live thumbnail feed will have to do)... one of the many downsides of being outside of the UK, I suppose.

Good day all!

I am an international listener...well, in Ireland anyway. Really annoyed right now that I can't see the Scottcam as it's only avaliable in the UK. It's a dream come true to watch what Scott gets up to 24 hours a day, as all I usually get is a 30 minute podcast a day. Oh well.

Don't forget there's highlights available to all.

Hi all, new member and International Listener from Pennsylvania, USA... love Radio 1 over here, because commercial radio in the states STINKS.

Welcome Along!

I agree, commercial radio is pretty limited here, Radio 1 isn't really classified as it though, but the radio in the UK seems to be a lot better here. I at least have noticed there's not five minutes of adverts like on my local stations.

radio ads are the worst thing ever. I hate the way they have to put the terms and conditions in really fast talk at the end bcause they can't use small print.

    • Good point - they could do best of Greg, Live Lounge, Matt and Mollie (not sure there were any best bits of Dean and Vicky) and Going Home. Of course if Going Home was included they'd have to start after Jordan left 😛
    • Also, and not to be forgotten, compere of Matt and Molly's "Initial Reaction" 😁
    • I’m pretty sure they’ve already said it will be late January. Apparently Trevor let slip at some point that his show was starting at the end of Jan so I’m guessing all the changes will take place on January 27th?
    • I reckon Scott will be on on the 6th
    • Take that back was 14th January so maybe there will be 2/3 weeks of Gaby covering
    • I see Gaby is covering breakfast so I assume she is covering the following week as well and Scott starts on like the 6th or something? do you remember when Zoe started it was like the 2nd or 3rd of Jan 2019 wasn't it?
    • Steffan Powell (former Radio 1 Newsbeat presenter/newsreader) is sitting in for Owain Wynn Evans on New Year's Day/2nd/3rd January. A few other schedule changes going into December: Shaun Keaveny in for Liza Tarbuck tonight (30th November) Tina Daheley in for Jeremy Vine on Tuesday 3rd December Jason Mohammed in for Owain on Friday 6th December. Romesh off again next week (7th) so Emma Willis sits in Nick Grimshaw in for Rylan on Saturday 14th, 21st and 28th (I assume he's in the following Saturday as well with Rylan still in Panto).
    • I do wish they’d do more with Christmas limbo week than just anthems. Been my complaint each year. Letting them do playlists and requests would actually be so much better or even if Radio 1 did favourite content from the year (guests, Big Weekend, features etc). I’ll be turning off for limbo week again
    • To be honest  I don't think the first point is that important. But the Anthems thing at christmas is now really dull - this is now 6 years of it. I'd rather it was very playlisted and just text ins and shouts.
    • What do you think to my email to Aled?    Dear Aled. I hope you’re well. I just have a couple of queries regarding the Christmas schedules for Radio 1 that I hope you won’t mind answering. 1. What is the idea on the 23rd and 24th December cutting the shows to only 3 instead of 5 with Dean starting breakfast and both Lauren and Sam and Danni doing 4 hour shows? They are normal working days and I’d imagine the most fun to be working? I’d have early breakfast (cover) Dean atbreakfast, Lauren in mid morning and Sam or Danni to do afternoon and the other going home if you really couldn’t get other cover.  2. How come on the Christmas limbo week the only feature is anthems?  Why do the line up get to do the specialist shows but don’t get do their spin on the breakfast show, live lounge covers or other features. I get early breakfast being rested that week. Nadolig Llawen to everyone at Radio 1 and your family
    • Pleased Christmas Day is at 7am as 8am is way too late.    New Year’s Day on the other hand should be no earlier than 7
    • I’m surprised they’re going live as early as 6am on NYD - that feels very early considering last year it was 8am!
    • 1st January Updated 6am-10am: Radio 1 Workout Anthems with Connor Knight 10am-2pm: Radio 1 Workout Anthems with Ore Olukoga
    • Greg has a new BBC Sounds image for Christmas!
    • 2nd January: 6am - Sam & Danni 10am - TBC 2pm - Lauren Layfield 6pm - Jack Saunders 3rd January: 6am - Sam & Danni 10am - Nat O’Leary (no Anthems in the schedule yet) 2pm - Party Anthems with James Cusack 4pm - Chart with Jack Saunders 6pm - Danny Howard 8pm - Sarah Story
