I've sometimes wondered where Chris would end up once Scott eventually moves on from Radio 1. If Dev or Matt took over at 1-4pm it would probably be a solo show, so this seems like a really good opportunity for Chris and a hint at things to come. The online presence is only going to become more important for Radio 1, what with BBC3 closing too. Chris would be a great 'anchor' for R1s online presence.

I suspect Greg will be a major player - he's notorious for his parodies and he covers most events on BBC Three, too (like Glastonbury and G In The Park)

I think if the BBC retains BBC3 but with budget cuts (highly possible) some of this Radio 1 programming online would go down really well on the channel. It would maximise the audience and seems relatively cheap to produce.
