Hello! If you fancy a chat during The Chris Moyles Show With Scott Mills why not climb on board between 6.30am and 10am and have a natter? Or if you want to comment about a podcast or when you're listening again leave something here too.

Thought I'd Start A Thread although most people wont be listening live. Including Me. iPlayer All The Way.

Who Is She?! Who Is She?! Where Did You Find Her?!

I was listening live... Felt the show began in the usual way when Chris is off and Scott goes into the Slot.

It began slowly and felt quite flat...... my only highlight was the Record of The Week, I'm afraid, so far.

I didn't enjoy Becky doing the Charts in that West coast country accent. Hear enough of that off the "lady", Josie, on BB, without it being on R1 as well.

The Show always gets better every time though, and I'm sure this time will be no different!!

I thought they were going back over the best stuff?!

They were... and they did.

An alright show today. I think these shows are always quiet in the holidays as they're aware the kids are up later and they tend to be busy planning stuff like the Edinburgh Fringe which is only two weeks off.

I liked the Rotherham/Christmas stuff, haha. Something awfully wrong about the Moyles Christmas beds being played though.

Yeh, but many of us "oldies" are up sharp, and waiting to be entertained.

OK, so the Fringe is coming up, but we still want entertainment, not the audio equivalent of ham cooking in an oven!! (just a thought).

Entertain me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Go for Robbie Williams, he wants you to let him entertain you...

Am always up at 5:45am so was nice to listen to whole of Scott's show in 1 go as day off work today. Have an old work mate who lives down in Rotherham had heard about the Xmas didn't surprise me but didn't hear about how big it was. Did snow in July once before was on way to pub when started snowing!! Prefer Beccy reading the chart to Chris and Dave:)

I listened in from 7am since I was awake, so didn't miss much of the show.

I don't really like waking up early without a good reason, but I won't mind for the next 2 weeks as it means I can listen to the PR4L on "Dear Scott"

Oh and well done to Franzi for getting a mention (and signed photo of Scott!)

    • The BBC commissioning brief mentions it is a 'mid morning show' for Radio 1 Dance https://www.bbc.co.uk/commissioning/radio/documents/comm_brief_r1_dance_morning_show.pdf
    • Nothing to apologise about, I was just intrigued on how DS and UM react
    • I would be pretty confident that if they keep avoiding using James Cusack on that slot over the next few weeks, then it will probably be him that gets the show permanently!
    • That’s two names who probably won’t be doing that slot permanently then.
    • Moyles spent most of the 52hr sgow calling him that lol
    • I stand guilty as charged as the DS poster.... It was I Okay, so yes Connor has good energy and does the show well, I take it back, however, my last experience of him he spent every other link saying "It's Connor Coates in for the ledge that is Charlie Hedges" and then he started saying "Clem Douglas" - again after critisising that I see she is styled as that sometimes The point I was trying to make was, yes we know it's Charlies show, we know she is a ledge, and we know she is not here today, no need to keep reminding us Regards R1 dance, I suspect Arielle is pointed at the drivetime slot to go against Mistajam unless we know it is breakfast that will be live ? Apologies to Connor and anyone offended by my comments, was just going on my past experience of Mr Coates, who seems to be a very competnt presenter
    • I know we have discussed this before, but can someone shed some light hoping @Lily Georgia can help Since the Wogan House closure, and 1-330 from Manchester, studio 82A (Mills) has been used by Scott's R2 show, in fact i note that him and Grandad Nelson are from there now days The question I have is with 1-330 coming from London again soon, who is getting a new studio? will Scott move to one of the newer ones down the corridor or will he remain in 82A and M&M get a new studio They cannot use 82D as that is used for drive, and currenlty 82A is in use by Scott from 2-4pm In the old days it used to be 82A for Greg, Scott, Annie and 82D Adele, RMC, Drive, Jack I note that Jack is in a brand new studio so maybe M&M will come from that one as well, maybe the same one as Vine uses?
    • Maia Beth is doing Friday Early Breakfast on 7th & 14th June.
    • Joel Mitchell is in for Nat on Sunday 9th June.
    • Ore Olukoga is on 13.00-16.00 on Friday 31st May and Friday 7th June.  Nikita Kanda is doing Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd June.
    • Very pleased for producer Amy - it's no coincidence many of the best shows in recent years have had her working on them. You can tell her & Helena are a great production duo and that the whole Matt & Mollie team are a really close-knit unit in general. Some lovely speeches by both Matt & Mollie too to end the show on Sunday.
    • Echo what most have said here. Connor has great energy which is important for that sort of slot and the shame for him is that the dance line-up is so strong that there's no obvious 'in' for him to get a regular slot -Danny, Sarah, Pete Tong, Arielle, Charlie Hedges, Jerry and Charlie Tee are all great in their slots. A live show on Radio 1 Dance really feels the obvious way to get a proper foot in the door at Radio 1. Although to be fair to the DS critic I think it was just the one poster and can very much hear Connor in my head saying 'in for the legend that is Charlie Hedges'.
    • James Cusack is in for Jack on Friday 14th June, doing the chart while Jack is at Download.
    • I remember hearing Amy first on Scotts show and she was great on that, the daft quiz questions always made me smile. It's really nice to see the hard work has paid off for them all.
