looks that way. TV guides I've been reading suggest it'll be hyde park spread over BBC1 and 2 (switches channels about 4, as does wimbledon) the BBC1 later on has the american one.

Yeah, apparently that was the basis that happened with Live Aid. They moved it around between the channels.

Jo Whiley needs to redeem herself after the Glastonbury cock-ups. What I would have liked to have seen is some kind of interactive option where, like with the football and 5live, we could listen to Radio 1 as well as seeing the BBC coverage.

I havent seen listings for BBC 3 but I wouldda thought they could open that up early to show some extra stuff, maybe highlights of the other gigs.

They can't on Freeview though because there's not the space as it shares with CBBC

Yup. Those screens take up little space, if any. And BBC Four shares with CBeebies.
