Apollo 11 moon landing

midnight

Recommended Posts

At the moment Kennedy Space Centre is celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Apollo missions and in particular the Apollo 11 mission which landed on the moon.

However recently it was announced by NASA that they have accidentally taped over their high definition footage of that historic moment. The footage they still have is extremely grainy and almost impossible to make out. This has added to my belief that the moon landing was faked.

What I would like to know is what does everyone else think? I do not believe that the Apollo mission made it to the moon but I do believe that NASA has made it into space with the shuttles and the ISS.

I love this conspiracy theory!

I think the mission was partially successful, but NASA faked all or most of the photos and videos to glorify the landing more.

I don't see how they could have faked the take off and landing of the rocket, however the 'evidence' they 'bought back' is probably fake.

they went back to the moon a few times in the 70's i think. why they haven't been back with much more advanced technology through the 90's and 2000's is beyond me.

Costs quite a bit of money that they've been using to build the ISS! They're going back by 2020 though.

The Moon landings actually happened, and if in doubt, please use a refractor telescope and you will be able to see quite clearly evidence of mans visit to the moon. the landing site in the "sea of tranquility" --to you the lower left side of the moon--there you can see the base of the lunar module, the american flag (fallen down due to the blast off of the module) and various geological equipment. other sites are just as fascinating with as much evidence left behind for you to look at :)

All of the evidence on the moon that man landed could just have easily have been left by the robots that were sent up before the apollo mission apparently landed.

And the Moon is also 90% mozzarella.

Ill pass that information on the next time I am at Kennedy Space Centre. The idea that robots were there first to land on the moon is not something I came up with in my head but is in fact information I have learned through visits to Kennedy Space Centre and being lucky enough to talk to people involved with planning the earlier space flights and seeing first hand the technology they had. They talked about the robots that they sent up to gather details about the moon so that when they do get round to sending up astronauts they know what they will encounter. They were also very proud of the fact that the robots sent up could be used to deliver things to the moon or collect things from there.

A pretty elaborate way to dupe the world about the landings dont you think? albeit extremley expensive too! and i seriously doubt very much "robots" would be sent to the moon to scatter at random various geological equipment, a lunar module or 2, 2 rover vehicles, a selection of American flags to give the appearance of the visitations......to use saturn v rockets--the most powerful vehicle then made--to dump a few "robots" on the sunny side of the moon is quite laughable, look thru a telescope at the moon and be amazed that really we did make it there at all. :)

I can't understand why people create conspiracy theories with 0 proof for perfectly logical and proven events! Just be proud we travelled to the moon!

don't go into 9/11 with all that, what twats. they don't even have the balls to go and tell new yorkers that it was all "fake".

on the grid.

    • Bank Holiday Monday Schedule 6am-10am: Arielle Free in for Greg 10am-2pm: Dean & Vicky (No Rickie, Melvin & Charlie) 2pm-6pm: Vick & Jamie (No Katie) 6pm onwards: As normal.
    • Dare I say they've sounded great this past week?  Very much gelling.  Maybe less pressure?  Seem to be having a genuinely good time and not forcing things.
    • I'm in the minority in my workplace, most of them love country music.  Me, the American, does not care for it.  That said, I haven't haaaaaated some of the country adjacent stuff that's been on the R1 playlist.
    • The Eurovision semi finals are on from 8 to 10pm on Tuesday 7th and Thursday 9th May with Richie Anderson. That means Sara Cox in on till 8 on those days.  Saturday 11th May is Eurovision 'Super Saturday... 1-3pm Your Ultimate Abba song with Gary Davies  3-6pm Michelle Visage's Eurovision All Stars 6-8pm Eurovision Request Party with Owain Wynn Evans 8pm Eurovision Grand Final with Scott Mills and Rylan Clark
    • It is funny because everyone thought Matt was on the way out, now he's been described as the heir to Mills.
    • Some similar names to Big Weekend.  Sabrina Carpenter, David Guetta, Perrie, Bradley Simpson, Jax Jones, Caity Baser, Benson Boone, Rudimental. David Guetta is a good name.
    • Still Scott for me. I'm not too much into the 70s and 80s radio 2 play but do love the injection of 90s and 00s. Then Radio 2 push for all this country stuff and it not a UK thing, and I frankly don't like it. Scott's show as in features, hit and miss. I like the music police bit, but it feels like someone needs to join him. It's a shame Chappers is so busy with sports, as it feels like it could do with someone like him jumping on to help. Or a new partner. Radio 1, take or leave. Matt and Mollie are OK from what I've heard and share a good connection, but it's the playlist that throws me off. They could bring back Chris Moyles to do that show, but as soon as something like Headie One comes on with that casino keyboard produced crap. It would still be switched off from me.
    • Reading through this thread, I don't feel quite so alone now, in thinking that Scott Mills on R2 is not a good 'fit' (even less so than on R5).  I can't quite explain why this is so - I just know it to be so.
    • Arielle has been on holiday for the last 2 weeks getting married / honeymoon.  It'll be live from this week onwards.
    • CassKidd is in for Sian on Sunday 5th May.
    • The brought to tiers feature was also very good from them. I did wonder which DJ's were going to get picked out of the hat, that could have gone one way or the other and the caller said they were very opinionated lol. Correct decision putting katie in god tier!
    • The extended Dua Lipa track from M&M was very funny. I'm hoping Matt and Mollie and Scott have a good relationship a bit like Greg and Zoe collaborate on-air sometimes.
    • Gary Davies in for Vernon Kay tomorrow (Monday 29th April).
    • When Scott and Chris announced their departure from R1, I remember there was lots of speculation about who would take over the 1pm slot. Matt and Mollie were talked about a lot on here, and at the time I really didn't rate them as a replacement. A few years on, I see that I was totally wrong. They are such a good pairing, and it's the same kind of duo as Scott and Chris, in that they are real life friends, who spend time together in their real lives, which really does come across on air. True friends having a laugh together, and everyone is invited is how it feels to me now. I never thought about it before, but I agree with @coffeeandgin that Mollie is the Scott of the duo - pop obsessed and maybe a litte ditsy, but so funny, and in need of someone to anchor to or bounce off.  It seems that Matt is the kind of Chris of the duo then in that comparison, the one with the ideas, but also needs another person to make the magic happen. I know I'm outside of the R1 demographic, and maybe Dean and Vicky were meant to be younger and fresher, but I'm sure in my younger years I would have preferred to listen to two people who had a genuine connection and could really make each other laugh, as well as have the listeners laugh along. That was the Scott and Chris factor for me, and I think the only pair that come close to that now are Matt and Mollie.
