Lock Up Special

(Tues 14th June :: 9pm)

It all kicks off on with a Lock Up Special when Mike Davies will count down the greatest punk songs of all time, as voted for by a panel of industry experts and then ripped apart by Radio 1 listeners. Tune in from 9pm to hear the Top 30 in full, and find out which is the greatest punk song of all time.

Most Punk with Zane Lowe and Mike Davies

(Thurs 16th June :: 7-11pm)

It's a one-off 4-hour punk marathon, where Radio 1 goes in search of the people who are Most Punk - a rogues' gallery of famous names who bring the spirit of punk to everything they do - then we count down the Top 20.

Featuring interviews from Jon Lydon, Joe Strummer, John Peel, Quentin Tarantino, Eric Cantona and the Ramones. Plus live music from Babyshambles, Hard-Fi, Dead 60's and The Ordinary Boys covering punk standards and a Most Punk soundclash (30 min mix of punk, Drum and bass, rock and techno).

Most Punk replaces Annie Mac's show for 1 week only.

Will I be insulted for saying I think they are very overrated. Their songs arent that great really

I like them, but I also think they're being overhyped... the reviews are giving them some very difficult standards to live up to.

Radio 1 seem to do it a bit in hyping a band for a period of time. They did it with the Foo Fighters who are a good band but around One Big Weekend it was non stop "Foo Fighters" on every show.

and U2 when they were broadcasting their (dublin?) gigs I think

Of course there was Oasis and Coldplay days.
