Sorry, I don't see the irony. I was reading in a magazine about Queen Allen just last week, in which she states that she has taken drugs in the past, and may take them again in the future (she doesn't know yet). A fine example to the youth of today... I give you, Lily Allen!

I am in no way condoning the use of drugs, but many people come into contact with them when they are young. It would be pretty naive to assume Madonna steered totally clear of them during her self admitted misspent youth (throughout the coke fueled 80s).

Frankly, I find Madonna's current stance on drug use hypocritical and incredibly unhelpful to those fighting problems. I also think I might have been reading different newspapers to you with regards to her marriage...

Madonna did do drugs at one point, but once she had her first child , it all changed. She grew up simply - something Ms Allen has yet to do.

The biography (which was boring and should never have been written) revealed far more about Mr Chris Ciccone's drug taking than it did of his sister's.

Yep, regarding the marriage, there are, naturally, different sides, yet she was the one who petitioned for the divorce on grounds of unreasonable behaviour. I can't imagine it would have been her own.

With a brother betraying her by writing daft books, and a husband who tried to stop her going on tours (it's her job), it's no wonder she was almost round the bend.

Well Madonna's lucky. Ms Allen lost her child. I'm sure it would have "all changed" too for Lily if she'd been lucky enough to have a baby.

Lily Allen isn't perfect. She's even admitted she's not the perfect role model. But Viv's analysis of claiming Madonna is a saint compared to Ms Allen is rubbish.
