3rd October: Retune your freeview box

It appears they've redesigned the radio stations of Freeview to go with the new logos. Radio 1 seems to be an awful shade of grey, whilst Radio 2 is a vibrant orange. Not that it matters much, that's why it's radio. But there's also a message that you'll need to re-tune Freeview to receive Radio 1, 2, 3 and 4 in October, as they're moving it over to a new multiplex.

Bah, my radio 1 always jumps on freeview.

Chances are it won't now, as they're moving to a stronger multiplex. Chances are it'll be Mux B. Basically that means it'll go on the same place BBC News, BBC Four, and 1Xtra broadcast from. It's all to do with the switchover and making sure everyone can pick these crucial services up.

Good news if you have Virgin Media too, the 'Now Playing' feature should now display on Radio 1 and BBC radio stations.

I've got that and don't have Virgin media.

Anyone know how you can actually get all the channels available (excluding setanta sports). According to the Freeview website I'm in an area that is suppose to get all the channels, but I am missing a few (The Hits, TMF, FTN, Hits Radio, Kerrang, Q).

I've got an aerial booster that I am going to install, but will this help?

I went to plug in / install the booster last night, only to discover that I need to get another RF/coaxial cable so the TV can be plugged into the booster. Hopefully this should work - if not will get someone to check the aerial on the roof.

May have to replace the roof aerial anyway considering how old and weather beaten it is!!
