Jamie Laing Complaint and response

An afternoon with Mark and Lard was brilliant today. Amongst all the laugher, did kinda hear that Andy Parfitt was a bit of a prick. No surprise there then.

whats the vibe about Parffit being a prick

Not their words directly but from the way he treated them he seemed that way. He ordered all the radios to be turned off whilst they were on air in the R1 offices apparently. Bit of a chip on his shoulder it sounded. They more or less disagreed on everything, which in turn pushed them to do more risky things on air. They never said it directly but it seemed especially the last few years he always wanted to pull the plug on them and replace them with "yes men" which kind of happened anyway in the end. 

So they just took the piss on air and said what they wanted, I don't think they have much respect for him. Still talk pretty kindly of Matthew Bannister though.

I read Annie Nightingale's book recently and she was very complimentary of Parfitt. 

It does feel like Mark and Lard very much blame him for their axing though.
