I've put my number on the TPS register, but still I get marketing calls to the landline.

Thankfully all my family "are on holiday for the next few weeks" but I'm "not old enough to participate in surveys"

But I don't want calls off the British Market Research Association or something! :-X

Isn't there something you can complain to or something? Like Ofcom or someone. My parents put our number on that list and we now hardly ever get those calls. When we do my dad gets very angry with them and they go away. Mostly though I just ignore calls on the landline, because the phone is at exactly the right distance away from me that if I throw myself down the stairs and run for it when it starts ringing, by the time I get there it's just stopped :-|

I keep getting calls aswell Jono and I'm on the TPS and silent call guard, unfortunately my number has been previously owned and I am getting calls for the previous owners of the number

We get these calls and we are also registered on both TPS and the silent gaurd thing there so annoying!

Sales calls = I love them - always think of a new way to get rid of them.

Like Ask them to describe exactly what they are selling and why I would want it. Then put the phone down and continue with work.

It's just something one of my teachers suggested.... apparently it works, they don't call again and they apologise. My teacher often tells callers that he is dead :-?

Yeah, apparently you should ask who it is first..... so as to avoid confusion and upsetting their actual friends or having the Inland Revenue pestering about inheritance taxes or something.

You should hear the ones we get,they try to prounouce our surname..my mum slams the phone down on them!
